Cinco de Mayo, throughout London (all weekend)

Raise a margarita or three this weekend in honor of Cinco de Mayo, the annual Mexican celebration that commemorates the country’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1562. Casamigos – the premium tequila and mezcal brand founded by George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman – has partnered with restaurants including the chic Coral Room in Bloomsbury and Argentian-themed Gaucho in the West End on a menu of tequila-fuelled cocktails, as well as launching a new month-long pop-up bar at Harvey Nichols. Breakin’ Convention Hip Hop Festival at Sadler’s Wells, Clerkenwell (all weekend)

Breakin’ Convention returns to Sadler’s Wells and the Lilian Baylis Studio this May bank holiday weekend. The festival – now in its 16th year – showcases hip hop and theatre talent from all over the world. This year’s event focusses on homegrown UK talent, including London-based poppers Fiya House and A.I.M. Collective, alongside performances from critcally-acclaimed German dancer Rubberlegz, South Korean dance group, Jinjo Crew and UK hip hop artist, Godson.
