Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams at the V&A, Knightsbridge (All Weekend)

The much-anticipated new exhibition dedicated to Dior opens this weekend at the Victoria and Albert Museum in Kensington. The largest exhibition of its kind, Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams will chart seven decades of the fashion house and its founder, as well as the artistic directors who have succeeded him. More than 500 items will be on display at this one-of-a-kind exhibit, including Princess Margaret’s 21st birthday dress (pictured below).

All About Eve at the Noël Coward Theatre, Leicester Square (All Weekend)

Lily James and Gillian Anderson return to the West End for the stage adaptation of 1950s Bette Davis film, All About Eve. Directed by Ivo Van Hove and with music by PJ Harvey, the play portrays jealousy and toxic ambition in a story which follows Margo Channing – a theatrical legend – meeting her biggest fan: girl-next-door-type, Eve, who isn’t who she appears to be.

Brunch and Yoga at Tate Modern, Westminster (Saturday)

Stretch out in style this weekend at the Tate Modern, as part of the museum’s ongoing brunch and yoga series in partnership with Frame fitness studio. A morning Yin Yoga session will take place in the Tate East Room, against dramatic views St Paul’s and the Thames, followed by a nutritious brunch. The event also includes access to the The C C Land Exhibition: Pierre Bonnard, which celebrates the French painter’s vivid, dreamlike work.

NFL Super Bowl Celebrations (Sunday)

The NFL Super Bowl kicks off this Sunday at 11.30pm UK time, with Maroon 5’s halftime performance taking place shortly after midnight. Celebrate in all-American style at Balthazar in Covent Garden, which is broadcasting the big game on large screens while chefs deliver mac ‘n’ cheese, nachos and steak sandwiches, alongside unlimited popcorn, tea and coffee. True to its namesake, the American Bar at The Stafford hotel in St James’s is also hosting a Super Bowl Sunday party, which promises specially-themed cocktails, US craft beers and a Yankee-style feast. Green Book, throughout London (all weekend)

Popcorn at the ready: Green Book, opens at cinemas this weekend. Set in 1962, the Golden Globe-winning film recounts the true story of a tough-talking bouncer from the Bronx (Viggo Mortenson), who chauffeurs an African American virtuoso pianist (Mahershala Ali) through the racially-charged deep south of America. This uplifting and heartwarming tale of friendship is the perfect antidote to the winter blues.
