On Thursday 12 September 2024, Britain’s brightest design talents will return to the capital for London Fashion Week, continuing its 40th anniversary celebrations that commenced in February. And, while the FROW action may be saved for industry insiders, the city’s fashion hot spots are offering up plenty of ways for the everyday fashion fan to mark the event in style.

Fashion awaits around every corner: satiate shopping cravings at London’s chicest neighbourhoods, sip on fashionable martinis, or pop into a pop-up exhibition to discover British fashion’s hottest new talents. Read on for our guide to celebrating London Fashion Week SS25 in the capital.

Brazil: Creating Fashion for Tomorrow exhibition

Brazil: Creating Fashion for Tomorrow (BCFT) is presenting its second exhibition at the Embassy of Brazil to coincide with London Fashion Week from 13-17 September. Named A Chain of Women, it spotlights the pivotal role of women in the fashion industry, featuring a curated selection of brands – including PatBo, Farm Rio, Vix and Nannacay – alongside sustainable initiatives and innovation led by talented Brazilian women from low-income communities.

Highlights include Catarina Mina’s work with communities in the state of Ceará, Farm Rio’s collaboration with the Yawanawá indigenous craftswomen, PatBo’ and its’s embroidery school, and more. Malwee, powering this year’s edition, will also be displaying pieces crafted from Fio do Futuro (Thread of the Future) – a material first launched in 2022 made up of 85 per cent fibres from used and shredded clothes, that are collected in partnership with the Red Cross.

Residence Cîroc at The Standard, King’s Cross

Spanning three days during LFW, vodka brand Cîroc has partnered with The Standard to spotlight iconic fashion faces who are ‘remixing luxury’, including womenswear label Knwls, talent incubator Fashion East, and stylist Law Roach. The inaugural residence will take over the hotel’s buzziest spaces, including junior suites, the private Townhouse 8, Sweeties cocktail bar and Decimo restaurant. Each room will include a selection of collectibles designed in collaboration with Knwls, from playing cards to eye masks, as well as a limited-edition Cîroc x Knwls bottle.

The finale of the Résidence will see Cîroc raise a glass to stylist Law Roach as the brand takes part in the celebration of his debut book, How to Build a Fashion Icon. The style mastermind behind looks seen on Zendaya at the Met Gala and Anya Taylor Joy at the Golden Globes, as well as Lewis Hamilton’s streetwear era and Céline Dion’s style renaissance, Roach forms the perfect closing celebration with a private book reading and Q&A.

LFW celebration at King’s Road, Chelsea

As London Fashion Week descends on the city, Chelsea’s chicest shops and restaurants are stepping out in style from 13-17 September, with plenty of offers, promotions and exclusive events. Highlights include themed cocktails at 11 Cadogan Gardens’ Chelsea Bar (we love the Catwalk Martini) and Diptyque’s in-house artist creating personalised watercolour illustrations inspired by its new collection on 14 September, which customers can take home. Also don’t miss a pitstop at Cosmetics à la Carte on Pavilion Road, where any bespoke appointment during LFW can include the Rock the Runway offer, which sees a senior artist demonstrate runway-ready makeup techniques.

1664 Blanc at Covent Garden

As a principal partner of London Fashion Week, 1664 Blanc will be hosting a striking Parisian pop-up in the heart of Covent Garden from 13-14 September. Serving the 1664 Blanc from its airstream within a bright Yves Klein Blue-decorated space just a stone’s throw away from the LFW shows at 180 Strand, everyone’s invited to take a front row seat. Those who want a chance to get in front of the camera can strut down the 1664 Blanc catwalk, where a glambot will be on hand to capture every moment on the Covent Garden cobbles.

Continuing its support of BFC Newgen designers – the British Fashion Council’s longest standing talent support scheme – 1664 Blanc has partnered with award-winning British-Nigerian designer Tolu Coker to create a limited-edition tote bag, which will be handed out to all visitors to the pop-up. Also, don’t forget to pick up Blanc’s newspaper, Le Journal Bleu, detailing all the latest gossip from LFW and exclusive interviews with BFC’s Newgen designers.
