The Scottish-Italian chef will launch his innovative revolving restaurant concept on Fitzrovia’s Charlotte Street this spring

Having earned a dedicated fanbase in Edinburgh, Belfast, Manchester and Liverpool, Glaswegian chef Nico Simeone is launching his first restaurant in London. Following the same concept as its sister outlets, the Fitzrovia-based Six by Nico will focus on an ever-evolving six-course tasting menu that will change every six weeks, with each iteration following a different theme.

No two menus will be the same and will flit from international-inspired dishes to quirkier concepts themed around a place, idea or memory. Previous themes have included childhood, guilty pleasures, Catalonia and Thai street food, with each new menu unveiled just two weeks before being served in the restaurant.

We are very excited to bring an unforgettable culinary experience to London,” Simeone said. “With its central location, Charlotte Street provides us with a great opportunity to join the city’s thriving restaurant scene.

“Restaurant trends are moving towards experiential dining and at Six by Nico our menus are inspired by great memories and interesting stories. Our new London restaurant site will create the perfect recipe for an exciting epicurean adventure.”

Born in Glasgow to Italian parents, Simeone cut his teeth at the Michelin-starred Number One at Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, before opening the first Six by Nico in Glasgow in 2017.

The new 80-cover space will open on Charlotte Street on the 31st of March, with interiors designed by Glasgow-based Severino. The former Zizzi site will be transformed into an industrial-style space, complete with a theatrical open kitchen.
