Royal Ascot is typically a five-day celebration of hats, horses and bonhomie at the Queen’s racecourse in leafy Berkshire. This year, there has been decidedly less pageantry as the world-famous races take place quietly behind closed doors for the very first time. This hasn’t stopped more than 2000 avid Ascot devotees from donning their finery at home to support the event’s #StyledWithThanks charitable initiative. Participants, including Zara and Mike Tindall and model Rosie Tapner have shared their race-ready outfits on Instagram, as well as donating at least £5 to one of four fundraising charities supporting those working on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic.
