Thirty From The 30s Exhibition, Fashion and Textile Museum

Opening this weekend, Cecil Beaton: Thirty from the 30s celebrates the famous late photographer’s most influential and recognisable portraits from the thirties. Subjects include iconic stars from the worlds of fashion, film, and the arts, including Salvador Dalí, Elsa Schiaparelli and Katharine Hepburn.

Wine Days by Sofitel Hotel Group, St James’s

Calling all fish fiends – to celebrate the reopening of its Soho-based outpost, Wright Brothers is hosting a special seafood festival for one weekend only. This Saturday and Sunday, enjoy an ultimate seafood feast of clams, mussels, langoustines, prawns and more, alongside a host of sizzling sides. Located behind Carnaby Street in a corner of Kingly Court, the newly renovated restaurant features a ‘captain’s table,’ which sits up to eight diners, and a heated alfresco terrace.

The Wool Hospital, Covent Garden

Covent Garden is commemorating Wool Week this year by launching an innovative Wool Hospital. The pop-up will be available from many of the retailers in the area, allowing customers to drop off their worn-out wooly garments for repair. Participating stores include Marks & Spencer, John Smedley, Hobbs and Hackett. Workshops and talks will also take place in Covent Garden, promoting the myriad benefits of wool.

First Man, opening at cinemas nationwide

Actor Ryan Gosling and director Damien Chazelle have joined forces again following their hit film La La Land to bring to you First Man. The new film tells the story of Neil Armstrong (Gosling) and NASA’s attempts to fly a man to the moon. Based on the book by James.R. Hansen, First Man explores the sacrifices made to make history. Produced by Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen (The Twilight Saga, The Fault in Our Stars), this film is tipped to be a box-office hit.
