Christmas Day at The Waldorf Hilton

The Palm Court is perfectly primed to assume Christmas Day hosting duties with its immense menu, refined decor, and live musical entertainment. Kicking off with a glass of champagne and an amuse bouche of roasted celeriac soup with almonds and truffle, the meal officially starts with a selection of starters, including pressed game terrine served with foie gras mousse, pickled blackberries and chestnuts, the eponymous Waldorf salad, cured salmon with crispy oyster and caviar, and a heritage carrot tartar.

Nibble on spiced lobster and salmon ravioli and baby violet artichoke before diving into main courses of Cumbrian beef Wellington, butter-poached halibut, and, of course, traditional turkey with all the trimmings. End on a sweet note with a Christmas pudding, pear and chestnut tart, or a selection of British cheeses. With everything taken care of for you, all that’s left to do is pick between the 1pm or 4pm sittings and enjoy a relaxing meal with your loved ones.
