Harvey Nichols announces autumn Beauty School series
The Knightsbridge store is set to host some of the biggest names in beauty for a plethora of masterclasses
Skin and makeup trends have always changed rapidly, increasingly so in the age of social media. Copping the most in-trend makeup look, whether it’s latte makeup or the clean girl look, usually comes down to replicating the most popular TikTok beauty guru or Instagram MUA. But often, a lot gets lost in translation from screen to IRL. Getting that perfect eyeliner wing or glowy base is much easier when it’s shown to you personally. Which is where the Harvey Nichols Beauty School comes in.
From 21-23 September 2023, Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge will be hosting the latest edition of its Beauty School series – Back to Beauty School – featuring masterclasses in association with a coterie of the world’s best beauty brands. Welcoming experts from across the globe, the Beauty School is set to inform and educate on all things skincare and makeup – from ingredients and trends to tools and techniques.
Highlights include an introspective sensory journey with Jo Malone CBE in which the celebrated perfumer will share the memory or moment in her life that inspired each fragrance from her brand Jo Loves. Celebrity hair expert and founder of mdlondon, Michael Douglas, will also be hosting a session on getting salon-perfect hair every day.
Find your perfect autumn scent with fragrance expert Alice du Parcq and special guests, including Fleur de Force, Robin James and Anita Bhagwandas, or master the art of layered scents with Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Lead Olfactory Stylist, Colin Minter. Unlock the key to a flawless face with Laura Mercier’s lead MUA Jess Kohn. Alternatively, navigate the importance of makeup tools at a special masterclass which will see Trich McEvoy brand ambassador Donna Ida join forces with Lead International Makeup Artist, Becca Eaves, for an interactive brush along.

Elsewhere, attend a panel discussion shedding light on the true impact of the menopause. Award-winning beauty journalist and broadcaster Ateh Jewel is joined by a lineup of special guests, including Lavina Mehta MBE, Emma Bardwell, Alice Smellie and Mariella Frostrup, as they discuss navigating and embracing menopause.
