The Vampire's Wife launches a new eight-piece capsule collection on NET-A-PORTER

A dress by The Vampire’s Wife is easy to spot: the ruffle trim; a puff sleeve; the seamed waist, cut from rich velvet, glossy metallic or floral crêpe fabric. These dresses pepper fashion week and red carpet events, worn by Daisy Lowe, Alexa Chung, Kate Blanchett and Florence Welch to name a few.

Founded in 2014 by Susie Cave (née Bick), former model and wife to Nick Cave, the inherently cool Brighton-based label has carved a niche style of subversive femininity, imbued with retro glamour. Its moniker is borrowed from an unfinished book by Nick and perfectly captures the brand’s gothic delicacy.

Susie’s signature maxi silhouette is eye-catching yet unfussy and universally flattering. Launching exclusively on NET-A-PORTER, the shape is refashioned for spring in floaty Liberty prints, metallic silk, emerald-hued corduroy and richly printed velvet. “These fabrics feel so light and beautiful against the skin,” comments Cave. “This capsule features some of my favorite dresses that I’ve designed to date, and I’m in love with them all.”
