Here's a home we wouldn't mind locking down in. At Mayfair Park Residences, the first private development under the Dorchester Collection umbrella, residents have direct access to the luxury hotel 45 Park Lane – and all of

Having spent the majority of the past 11 months at home, the prospect of checking into a hotel, either abroad or on home turf, is very appealing indeed. But for the lucky residents of this new London development, the perks of hotel living are a luxury they can enjoy on a daily basis.

Clivedale London is no stranger to a high-end development, having been behind projects such as The Mansion in Marylebone and The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair – but its latest scheme is particularly special. Located directly next door to the five-star hotel 45 Park Lane, Mayfair Park Residences is the first and only private development with direct access to a Dorchester Collection hotel, and those who live there will enjoy the same five-star around-the-clock amenities as the hotel’s guests.

Housing 22 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments and townhouses, the residences on Stanhope Gate are hidden behind two Grade II-listed Georgian façades, which have been restored to their former glory by PLP Architecture. Behind this, the building is completely new from the ground up, and, while design firm Jouin Manku has paid homage to the Georgian roots of the original buildings in the coffered ceilings, the development is distinctly modern and elegant in design. A bespoke 2,700-piece Lasvit chandelier inspired by nearby Hyde Park, and two sweeping installations made from 17,000 hand-painted bone china leaves, create a dramatic welcome in the entrance lobby. Spread over eight floors, the apartments and four townhouses are fitted with polished-oak parquet floors, Italian bathrooms and statement monolithic stone fireplaces.

But as beautiful as the homes are, the real selling point is the development’s access to 45 Park Lane, and the host of amenities that this access provides. Perhaps most staggering is the 10,000 sq ft health club, which is available to both hotel guests and residents. Fully-managed by the Dorchester Collection, the spa is home to a 20m heated swimming pool, a sauna, steam rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, a personal training room and a 2,250 sq ft private gym. There are also two private treatment rooms available exclusively to those living at the Mayfair Park Residences, as well as a residents-only lounge.

Beyond this, there are a range of bespoke amenities to cater to residents’ whims and wishes. Name a service and the hotel is likely to deliver it. In addition to a 24-hour concierge, 24-hour security, valet underground parking and a Rolls-Royce town car and chauffeur service, residents can request a number of bespoke services, including housekeeping, dog walking and grocery shopping. Should they fancy fine dining at home, they can enjoy a meal from Wolfgang Puck’s CUT at 45 Park Lane restaurant – at any time of the day. If they can’t decide which bottle of wine to pair with it, the hotel’s sommelier is on hand to provide expertise. And should they wish to organise a party, the private catering and floristry teams can help. In short, the residents will want for nothing – and if they do, the 45 Park Lane team will no doubt find a way to achieve it.
