Twenty Grosvenor Square has unveiled Apartment 0.07, a three-bedroom home designed in honour of Ian Fleming’s secret agent

James Bond-inspired merchandise appears to have no limit, with each film spawning a new wave of special edition watches, sunglasses and swim shorts. But for the true 007 fan, nothing will compete with this latest launch: an entire apartment dedicated to the secret agent. Unveiled ahead of the new Bond film No Time to Die, which, having been rescheduled twice, is finally due to be released in April, the Finchatton-designed space at Twenty Grosvenor Square has been modelled on the suave wardrobe and exhilarating lifestyle of Ian Fleming’s famous spy.

Aptly named Apartment 0.07, the three-bedroom home spans 5,863 sq ft and is spread over three floors, with an in-residence elevator transporting you to each level. Faced with the challenge of emulating the secret agent’s style while staying true to the heritage of Twenty Grosvenor Square, the Finchatton design team has created a sophisticated space that is two-parts contemporary family home, one-part James Bond shrine.

A statement staircase adorned with floor-to-ceiling mirrors and a Lee Broom pendant light leads to the drawing room, where soaring ceilings and double-height windows maximise on natural light. The designers have chosen a soft colour palette of navy blue, coral and beige to create a welcoming atmosphere, furnishing the space with woven leather consoles and a Stark rug that centre around a polished marble fireplace.

The lower level of the apartment is home to three bedrooms. An upholstered headboard in navy and grey tweed draws the eye in the master suite, which boasts two dressing rooms (enough space for all your James Bond-themed clobber) and an ensuite bathroom.

Down in the basement, the true James Bond influence comes to the fore. In the entertainment room, a floor-to-ceiling window, framed by sumptuous Dedar red velvet curtains, overlooks the private double garage. Fitted with grey wool wallpaper in the style of a pinstripe suit, this underground parking space has been designed as a focal point of the room, with the developers clearly expecting the future resident to have a pair of motors worth showing off (for the ultimate Bond fan, a pair of Aston Martin DB5s is surely the only option).

A gaming area is equipped with a high gloss walnut chessboard by Sir William Bentley, a full-sized pool table and home entertainment system. Martinis — shaken, not stirred — can be served at the Nero Argento marble-topped bar, which has an antique mirror cabinet with room for a prized liquor collection. An intimate seating area provides space in which to relax, while admiring the black-and-white photographs of vintage classic cars that adorn the walls.

As the world’s first Four Seasons Private Residence, Twenty Grosvenor Square offers an impressive range of lifestyle amenities supported by the hotel brand. Residents have access to a private wine cellar, an 18-seat cinema and a 25m swimming pool, to name just a few. There’s also a full suite of services including a 24-hour concierge, valet parking, housekeeping and building maintenance, all of which are manned by an onsite Director of Residence — the closest thing you’ll get to a real life Q.
