The style set and city slickers were out in force to celebrate storyteller photographer Haris Nukem's new Faithexhibition at Maddox Gallery

Maddox Gallery creative director Jay Rutland, footballer Felipe Anderson and a flock of city slickers and artists gathered in Mayfair to fête the unveiling of Haris Nukem’s new exhibition Faith at Maddox Gallery.

The Mayfair-meets-Hackney crowd sipped on Bombay Sapphire cocktails and as John Russo- CEO of Maddox Gallery – toasted the artist, while the models and muses who featured in Nukem’s photography made their love heard.

Haris Nukem is known for his thought-provoking portraits, which both shock and beguile in equal measure. He has shot campaigns for the likes of Boy London, Selfridges and Visit Britain and has worked with record labels Universal Music and Warner Group.

Nukem’s powerful new oeuvre touches on themes of fame, hedonism and the impact of social media, through elaborate costume and set design. A fin de siècle grande dame hangs alongside Batman and Robin, revelling at a house party, while another piece brings together 50 bodies entwined “in a sort of human tapestry.”
