The Curtain, Shoreditch

The Shoreditch hotel will be offering a trifecta of New Year’s Eve excellence, with a Beatnik-themed evening spread across the hotel’s three venues. Inspired by the counterculture of the 1950s where the boundaries of music, art, literature, fashion and sexual identity were pushed back, guests can choose from The Beat Hotel party at the members’ club (£60 per person), the Beat Easy Dinner at Red Rooster (from £65 per person) or the Top of the Beat Dinner at LIDO + Beat Hotel Party (£125 per person).

The Savoy, Strand

Of all of London’s hotels, The Savoy is possibly the most resplendent in Art Deco glamour. As such, they’ll be inviting guests to step Behind the Red Curtain for an evening of music and magic to welcome in 2019. Drinking and dining will be taking place throughout the property in Kaspar’s & Thames Foyer, the Beaufort Bar, Simpson’s in the Strand, The Savoy Grill as well as a grand Ballroom Dinner. There will be live entertainment by London’s finest magicians complemented by live music by its finest musicians.

Sexy Fish, Mayfair

Anyone looking for a PDR experience par excellence should beat a path to Sexy Fish this NYE, where they’ll be offering a private dinner for up to 48 guests in their Coral Reef Room, lit by two of the largest tropical fish tanks in the world. Food comes compliments of Chef Director Bjoern Weissgerber with top class cocktails and wine and the option to hire a private DJ.

Home House, Mayfair

Members of Marylebone private members’ club Home House are spoiled in many ways, perhaps never more so than on December 31st, when they host their famous New Year’s Eve party. To close out 2018 Home House will throw its Kaleidoscope Ball, where guests will be invited to don a different colour of the spectrum. Tickets start at £35 members and £95 for guests.

Park Chinois, Mayfair

Mayfair’s opulent Park Chinois is throwing a New Year’s Eve party – Shanghai style. Dinner starts from £120 and includes a champagne on arrival followed by a lavish set menu of roast duck with caviar and wagyu beef. The meal is accompanied by live entertainment, infused with signature sultry glamour. The party continues across both floors until 3am, and there will also be a limited number of post-midnight party tickets available for £30 per person.

Aqua Shard, London Bridge

As one of London’s most recognisable skycrapers, The Shard books up early for New Year’s. However, if you act quickly you may be able to grab tickets at aqua shard’s NYE party – they still have a few larger booths available. Dinner tickets at aqua shard include a sumptuous five-course contemporary British menu, a glass of Champagne on arrival and a glass at midnight for £395 per guest. Alternatively, enjoy a glass of Champagne on arrival, three glasses of accompanying wine with your meal and a glass of Champagne to see in 2019 for £450 per guest.

Century Club, Soho

The Shaftesbury Avenue private members’ club is renowned for throwing wild NYE gigs and this year is no exception, as it will host its first private fireworks display from its excellent roof terrace. Curated by A Curious Invitation, guests will be invited to don a mask and revel with like-minded members, live music and cabaret performances. Tickets start at £25 for members.

Radio Rooftop, Strand

Since opening, Radio has been one of the foremost rooftops in central London with a consistently classy crowd. For £300 you can go all-in with canapés, bowl food, drinks, entertainment and (excellent) views of the fireworks with the party kicking off at 8pm and going until late.

Blakes Hotel, Kensington

For anyone who isn’t au fait, Blakes is one of Chelsea’s chicest hotels with one of the area’s best restaurants to boot. This New Year’s Eve, it will be celebrating in style. Dinner will be served in Blakes Restaurant with a sumptuous menu created by Head Chefs Peter Del Campo and Mariano Russo before guests head down to Blakes Below for a Moulin Rouge themed party to ring in the new year. It’s priced at £185 per person.

The Corinthia Hotel, Westminster

Since its inception, the grand Whitehall hotel has been renowned for playing host to famous faces and offers masterclasses in refined elegance. This NYE will be no different, with the Glenn Macnamara trio performing in the Northall Bar from 8pm until 2am. Glen is considered one of the finest swing singers and has performed at Ronnie Scott’s and Hampton Court Palace and has supported both Billy Ocean and Jamie Cullum.

Sky Garden, The City

Since opening atop the Walkie Talkie building, Sky Garden has become a pilgrimage destination for sightseers looking to catch a bird’s eye view of the Big Smoke. On NYE, the bar will be channelling the spirit of 1970s New York with a Studio 54 party for those with a penchant for sparkles, sequins and disco. Perched at the top of the Mondrian Hotel on the South Bank, The Rumpus Room offers peerless views of the Thames and the fireworks above it. Cabaret aficionados will want to head over to the London Cabaret Club on Bloomsbury Square, where they’ll be bidding farewell to 2018 in high style with the Great Gatsby Party. Add to this well-considered cuisine and free-flowing champagne, and you begin to get an idea of what’s in store. Doors open at 7pm and the festivities wrap up at 5am.
