The best new films and TV shows to stream in February 2025
Lean into all things Valentine's with a month of Netflix and chill
The longest, darkest month in the calendar has finally been and gone and love is in the air for February. But forget putting all your eggs in one basket on the 14th, and instead make a month out of Valentine’s Day by wining and dining at home. Because nothing says ‘I love you’ quite like a home-cooked meal, followed by an evening on the sofa with a brand-new box set. With great new TV from the likes of a BAFTA-winning director, Lucy Boynton as Ruth Ellis – the last woman in the UK to be hanged – and Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in a classic American Western, these new shows aren’t just looking good on paper. And with the third season of White Lotus returning to our screens on 17 February, there really is no reason to go out. These are the best new films and TV shows to stream in February 2025.

Transforming it into a witty tale of sisterly love via a star-studded cast including Keeley Hawes, Rose Leslie, and Alfred Enoch, the series is set years after Jane Austen’s death (the release coincides with her 250th birthday) and highlights Cassandra as a classic Austen heroine.

The White Lotus, Sky Atlantic and Now TV
The highly-anticipated third instalment of the Emmy-winning series drops this month, transporting viewers to the balmy climes of Thailand’s Koh Samui. Director Mike White has previously hinted that the eight episodes would satirically highlight Westerners' fascination with Eastern spirituality, and follows a new group of guests over the course of the week. Expect at least one murder, and episodes bigger and longer than ever before (perhaps unsurprising given the crew were given serious incentives to film in Thailand…)
