veryone loves a Christmas hamper. There’s just something special about cracking open a wicker basket and delving into the treats inside. They also make brilliant gifts for those tricky people – neighbours, colleagues, great aunts – who languish at the bottom of your gift list because you’re just not sure what to get them.

The traditional Christmas hamper is, of course, full of classic festive foods. However, if mince pies aren’t really your thing, this year brands are offering a host of innovative hampers featuring everything from luxury beauty products to afternoon tea. Here’s our guide to the best luxury Christmas hampers for 2021.

It's with this in mind that London's favourite bakery, Gail's, presents its Christmas hamper, packed with a fantastic selection of alternative winter treats. The star of the show is a mammoth 2kg dark sourdough (it may well be the biggest loaf of bread you've ever seen), while a supporting cast includes a selection of biscuits and crackers, preserves, cakes and a seriously moreish festive take on the cinnamon bun

Full contents: 2kg dark sourdough, Quicke's whey butter, winter berry jam, Seville orange marmalade, chocolate and hazelnut spread, mince pies, Christmas buns, granola, cheese crackers, seeded crackers, nut biscuits, speculoos, chocolate sable, vanilla shortbread, chocolate babka wreath, chocolate loaf cake, Island's chocolate box
