As part of the new Friends of Bar Antoine series, discover the recipe for the Social Martini by award-winning, Bangkok-based BKK Social Club

It’s not everyday that acclaimed mixologists come together to create a whole new tipple, but when they do, it’s usually pretty special. The most recent bar takeover in the capital was inspired by Argentina via Thailand, and invited Bangkok’s BKK Social Club – ranked 13th at The World’s 50 Best Bars last year – to set up shop at Bar Antoine at Four Seasons Hotel on Park Lane earlier this month. The result? A decadent new limited-edition cocktail, of course – and we’ve bagged the recipe so you can try it at home.

Created by award-winning mixologist Philip Bischoff, the BKK Social Club’s cocktail list is inspired by the lively Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires, combined with the vibrancy of Thailand’s capital Bangkok, to create serves that pay homage to key cultural moments. Highlights include La Pampa – inspired by the province near Buenos Aires that’s home to millions of honeybees, this cooling concoction mixes Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Gin with eucalyptus longan honey and zesty citrus – and Jimador, encapsulating the heart and soul of the agave fields via Patron Silver Tequila, pistachio and citrus.

And when Luxury London asked for a recipe, the BKK Social Club delivered. As the first guests in the Friends of Bar Antoine series – a global guest bartender series offering guests a passport to world-class mixology experiences – Bischoff created the Social Martini for Londoners to try at home. We’re sure you won’t be disappointed…
