When Paul McSharry founded the Osiris Club it wasn’t so much to fill a gap in the market but an enormous chasm. While stuffy wine societies and private clubs have been around for years, McSharry noticed many did not allow their members to actually make their own wine – and after all, isn’t that part of the fun?

That’s where the Osiris Club comes in. Having launched earlier this year, the premise of the new private members’ club is to enable members to create wines to their own specific tastes. Grapes outside of the club’s native Napa Valley are sourced from partnership wineries in France, Italy, Argentina and Chile so connoisseurs can create their own concoction, before being guided through the process of harvesting, pressing, ageing, bottling and personalised labelling. Essentially, members can create their own wine collections without the stress of running their own vineyard. Sounds like a dream, right?

Luckily, this is a dream money can buy. Osiris memberships are split into two tiers – Sovereign and Midas – and range from $40k-100k: definitely less expensive than owning a vineyard. Both tiers include lifetime hereditary membership, custom-designed labels and the opportunity to create wines with other members, alongside your own bottles. Members are also granted membership with Quintessentially: a world-leading luxury concierge agency that prides itself on making the inaccessible accessible, hosting exclusive private dinners, parties and tasting events, as well as offering a full complement of concierge services for all areas of life.

If that wasn’t enough, members also get first refusal on Osiris’ exclusive trips – not that we think you’d ever want to refuse. Recent excursions have seen groups travel to Château Malartic-Lagravière in Bordeaux, France, where members were treated to five-star accommodation and a Michelin-starred meal, as well as a guided tour of the storied château and its winemaking facilities.

This summer, however, will see Osiris host a truly unique trip. Opening up the Osiris experience to newcomers for the first time, potential pundits are invited to its first non-member trip in August so they too can get a taste of the high life in Napa Valley.

From 17-20 August 2023, Osiris will take guests on an exclusive four-night journey to visit some of the most iconic vineyards in California and taste wines alongside the founders who created them. Guests have the choice of staying at five-star hotels Auberge Du Soleil, Rutherford, or the Four Seasons, Calistoga, before being chauffeured to wine tastings and a private dinner at The Charter Oak, owned by three Michelin-star chef Christopher Kostow. Over the course of the following few days, enjoy visits to AXR Winery for a private blending session and Adversity Cellars and Bevan Cellars, where you can meet the founders and sample some of the most acclaimed wines in Napa.

There will also be opportunities to hire a supercar for a self-guided tour of the Valley, grill legendary winemaker Jean Hoefliger for winemaking tips, join a farewell dinner at Napa institution Press and enjoy plenty of downtime to explore this majestic piece of California at your own pace.
