From one-bed studios to penthouse suites, each apartment has been sensitively restored, and offers a concierge service in partnership with Harrods

London isn’t short of grand, historic buildings, many with their own stories to tell. But it’s not every day that a building as impressive as Kensington mansion Allen House launches a slew of elegant new apartments for sale. With one of the most enviable postcodes in the capital, these London homes offer a slice of history to make your own.

Sales at Allen House have just got underway with agents Knight Frank and Strutt & Parker, with prices for a one-bed starting from £1.24m and two-beds at £2.6m. The two-bedroom 1,098 sq ft show apartment, designed by Residence One, gives a glimpse of the understated glamour, muted tones, and cosy corners that you can expect within.

Having been restored by Topland, O&D London and Residence One, the property retains much of its authentic heritage. Due to complete this summer, the 45 studio, one-, two- and three-bed luxury residences, and two penthouses, offer panoramic views across the city’s skyline. Several of the most desirable apartments have direct access to a private landscaped garden, curated by Kinland Design, with others enjoying balconies looking out over the greenery – which aren’t easy to come by in the heart of London.

Originally designed in 1908 by Paul Hoffman, Allen House’s internal makeover reflects the property’s exterior, including a reconfiguration of the rooms and the addition of amenity spaces and air-conditioning throughout. Custom-made kitchens, bespoke bedroom and bathroom joinery, and comprehensively-curated dining spaces, furniture, and artwork are all part and parcel here, as is the 24-hour concierge provided in partnership with Harrods. Indeed, residents will be able to make reservations at any of the 23 restaurants within the landmark store. Some buyers will also reap the benefits of a coveted RBKC residents’ parking permit, as well as the Peloton gym.

Rupert des Forges, Head of Prime Central London Developments at Knight Frank, has said of Allen House: “The development will provide both the local market and discerning international purchasers with an opportunity to secure a classic London mansion flat in this prime location, with the added benefit of full front of house service and a rare landscaped communal garden for their quiet enjoyment.”

These apartments offer a range of new residences within a beautiful Edwardian building, modern amenities, and expert interior flourishes sitting side-by-side with classic period features. They also offer location: an international hub for culture, shopping, dining and entertainment, and moments from two of London’s Royal Parks, the borough of Kensington is a jewel in the capital’s crown. So, if you’re looking for a slice of history, and a taste of the high life, Allen House is ready for you.
