Lockdowns and pandemic restrictions have put a home gym high on the wishlist of many Londoners but, if you were one of the many who scoured the internet in search of dumbbells and treadmills over the past two years, you’ll know that most gym equipment isn’t exactly chic. Utilitarian and functional, unless your design aesthetic happens to revolve around stainless steel and rubber, there’s little available you’re going to want to keep on display. Until now.

Enter Dior x Technogym. Inspired by Dior Vibe – a range of ready-to-wear and accessories with a sportswear sensibility designed by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri for the Dior 2022 Cruise show – this new collaboration sees the French fashion house put its signature stamp on some of Technogym’s best selling fitness equipment.

Long known for its best-in-class designs, which have seen Technogym outfit wellness spaces in five-star hotels, superyachts and elite residences around the world, the Italian fitness brand gave Dior carte blanche to reimagine some of its most popular items.

This first-of-its-kind collaboration features three keys pieces: the My Run connected treadmill, exercise ball and multi-purpose bench. And, while each retains the core features and functions that make them so effective in the gym – compact, ergonomic design, smartphone compatibility and tailored workout options – each has also been given a subtle but distinct style upgrade.

Recast in a chic white hue, each piece features five contrasting blue bands framing the ‘Christian Dior Paris’ motif. Each design has also been finished with the star emblem that was considered lucky by Dior’s eponymous founder and has long been a signature of the house. Elegant and clean with crisp silhouettes, they’re almost too beautiful to work up a sweat on.

The limited edition Dior and Technogym collection is available through dior.com and at selected boutiques. Alternatively, get hands-on with the designs at a dedicated Harrods pop-up running until 20 February 2022 – and we highly recommend you pick up some new gym gear from the Dior Vibe collection while you’re at it. After all, it wouldn’t do to be outshone by your own home gym now, would it?

The Dior and Technogym Limited Edition Collection is available to purchase now, prices from £900. Visit dior.com.
