Properly pampered: The best spa days in London

12 Jun 2026 | |By Zoe Gunn

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city at one of these chic urban retreats

In need of a little R&R? You’re not alone and, while a week sunning yourself in the Caribbean would certainly be lovely, if your holiday allowance is looking a little low, a luxurious spa day in London is the next best thing. Happily, London is home to some of the country’s finest spas.

Often found within the luxurious surrounds of the capital’s best five-star hotels, whether you’re looking for a relaxing Swedish massage or a high-tech facial, London’s top spas are home to some of the world’s most skilled masseuses, nail technicians and aesthetic practitioners. Here’s our guide to the best spa days in London guaranteed to leave you feeling rested, rejuvenated and utterly pampered.

Biome at Corinthia London

Tucked away beneath Westminster’s gorgeous Corinthia London hotel, its highly regarded spa has expanded and elevated its impressive offerings with a newly launched Biome concept. Centred around the rare luxury of time and space, the serene spa also brings together a trio of leading wellbeing partners: Wildsmith, Augustinus Bader, and AMP.

Follow the gold-tinted walls to discover the three-floor spa, which is centred around Biome’s hydrotherapy floor. Rendered in dark marble and peppered with glowing fireplaces, kick back on the heated loungers before making the most of spacious amphitheatre sauna, cold plunge pool, swimming pool, jacuzzi and sought-after sleep pods. To experience this in its purest form, opt for Biome’s pre-treatment guided heat and water therapy journey designed to relax muscles, improve circulation, and support detoxification as guests are guided through a carefully sequenced pathway of steam, sauna, plunge, and recovery.

Our favourite spa day? The Breathe Ground Restore which offers a full-body ritual including a Wildsmith Rebalancing Massage and Radical Botany Facial. The latter is a highlight, and is ideal for those looking to reenergise tired looking skin with Wildsmith’s Hampshire-sourced natural products. The 60-minute treatment begins with an expert consultation with one of the Corinthia’s therapists and combines breathwork, myofascial release, acupressure, and craniosacral techniques to release tension while smoothing and plumping skin. After your treatment, indulge in a one-course light lunch with a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne served in the Biome Lounge, and make the most of the aforementioned heat and water circuits. That’s what we call a day well spent.

Four Seasons Hotel at Park Lane

The rooftop spa at Four Seasons at Park Lane – the brand’s inaugural London hotel dating back to 1970, before the outpost at Tower Bridge followed in 2017 – is home to a 10th-floor, light-filled spa. Unlike many other five-star hotels that place their spas in the bowels of the building, Four Seasons at Park Lane has ensured its spa is its crowning glory, complete with panoramic views of Hyde Park and a treatment menu by luxury partners including Omorovicza, Cellcosmet, and Philosophia Botanica.

The Rise and Recharge will get the adrenaline pumping, beginning with a personalised 50-minute one-to-one session with a personal trainer in the hotel’s state-of-the-art gym, with views of the London Eye and The Shard. Those looking to unwind instead can book the Rise and Relax offering, ensuring a tranquil start to the day with a 60-minute signature massage or deep-cleansing facial. Following the experience, make the most of the vitality pool, sauna, steam room and cocoon-like relaxation pods before indulging in a nourishing breakfast: think mango and passion fruit or peanut butter and banana smoothie, fresh fruits, homemade banana bread and poached eggs with avocado and smoked salmon.

The Ned’s Club Spa

Housed in the basement of the former bank, The Ned’s Club and Spa is often the reserve of its members – yet there are a few ways you can get inside without paying the annual fee. One of which is the spa day pass, which is redeemable against any treatment – think an iS Clinical massage or a Le Mamiel facial – and are priced at £200 during the week and £350 at weekends.

Post-treatment, guests are invited to relax around the 20m indoor pool or in the Club Room (no laptops allowed), while changing rooms are equipped with upscale amenities (expect top-of-the-range curlers, straighteners and hair dryers) and Cowshed products so you can re-enter the world outside not only relaxed, but thoroughly refreshed from head-to-toe.

Claridge's Spa

Claridge's Spa

Believe it or not, Claridge's only opened its first spa in 2022. Situated in a dimly-lit subterranean space, the all-singing, all-dancing spa features relaxation pool, steam rooms, saunas, gym and seven ensuite private treatment rooms and has tapped into the nous of world-class brands such as Teresa Tarmey, Augustinus Bader and Josh Wood to complete its treatment menu.

For the full experience, choose one of the spa's signature rituals. Our pick is the Bamboo and Silk Ritual, which begins with a relaxing foot ceremony before moving on to an invigorating body massage using warmed bamboo sticks to stimulate deep into the muscles. This is followed by a soothing hand massage and rejuvenating facial using silk cocoons to hydrate and replenish the complexion.

Complete with real gold walls, the elegant spa at the Four Seasons hotel just moments from Tower Bridge is one of the biggest in London. Featuring a 46-foot lap pool, sauna and steam room, and a hammam suite, it has recently taken mindful relaxation to new heights thanks to a fresh partnership with Sava Sound Pods. These bookable pods are designed to enhance relaxation, reduce stress, and support holistic healing through sound, vibration, and sensory immersion – perfect to book pre- or post-treatment.

A standard day pass will grant you access to all the spa’s facilities and will set you back £160, while the Dine and Unwind package seems like a steal when priced at £195 and offering four-hour access to the spa and a healthy bento box selection of light salads and mini desserts. Our pick of the bunch, however, is the full-day package featuring a semi-private pod in the pool that includes a complimentary glass of champagne. Chin-chin.

The Lanesborough Club & Spa

lanesborough club and spa london

The award-winning spa at The Lanesborough is undoubtedly one of the most lavish in the city. A subterranean oasis of calm, it houses a vast gym, hydro pool, saunas and steam rooms, as well as its own food and drink offering centered around nutritionally rich dishes that promote inner health.

There are three spa day options at The Lanesborough Club & Spa, ranging from a three-hour session to a full day of treatments. As you would expect of a hotel, a key focus is fighting the fatigue of travel but, for the full experience, the No. 1 Hyde Park spa day is the premier option. Designed for complete pampering, and including a light lunch and use of the spa facilities, the day begins with a salt scrub and full body massage, and Happy Feet foot massage. Then it’s on to a blissful Royal Fern signature facial before finishing with a rose petal manicure or pedicure for the ultimate day of respite from the fast pace of life.

Housed in the grandly historic St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, there are few better places to ease the tensions of a long train journey than the St Pancras spa. Inspired by the area’s Victorian architecture, patterned tiling, exotic fauna and stone floors abound throughout, while the treatment menu draws on traditional rituals from around the world.
