The brand’s barbershop at Selfridges will offer a special treatment in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

Father’s Day is just around the corner and, if you’re pondering the best way to treat your dad this year, how about a luxurious grooming treatment that will leave him looking good on the outside and feeling great on the inside?

Available from 19-27 June, including across Father’s Day weekend, the Acqua di Parma Barbiere at Selfridges will be offering a special treatment created in partnership with Father & Son Day – an organisation founded by testicular cancer survivors Daniel Marks and Jack Dyson to raise awareness and create greater dialogue around male cancer.

The treatment, a luxurious hair cut service lasting 90 minutes, costs £65 and 100 per cent of the price will be donated to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to fund vital roles, such as psychologists, exercise specialists and dieticians. These positions are crucial to enabling the hospital to offer patients care that is tailored to their specific needs and supporting them at every stage of their cancer treatment.

The campaign and Acqua di Parma haircut service also aim to provide a bonding moment for fathers and sons and offer an opportunity for men to be more open with issues and concerns around health.

“As well as raising much needed funds for The Royal Marsden, our aim has always been to encourage men to talk more openly about their health issues and where better to do that than in the barber’s chair?” says Father & Son Day co-founder Daniel Marks. “Sitting in the Barbiere in Selfridges and being looked after so well also offers a moment of reflection, of self-care, of tranquillity and of ensuring we feel our best selves.”

“Since the Acqua di Parma Barbiere range launched in 2019, one of the messages of the campaign was the celebration of the authentic relationship between father and son; the passing down of rituals and traditions from one generation to the next,” adds Stephane Euzen, general manager of Acqua di Parma UK. “We are very proud to be working with our friends Daniel and Jack for Father & Son Day 2021, to celebrate this special relationship between father & son and most importantly to help raise money and awareness for the amazing work done by The Royal Marsden.”

The Father & Son haircut is available at the Acqua di Parma Barbiere at Selfridges from 19-27 June, book here.
