Louis Vuitton has just opened a hotel in Mayfair

And you only have two months to make a reservation…

If you happen to have passed through Berkeley Square over the last few days, you may have noticed something rather exciting: a discreet golden plaque outside a townhouse next door to the Phillips auction house bearing the words ‘Louis Vuitton Hotel’.

Now, before you get too excited, I’m afraid you’re not going to be able to book a room for the night. What you will be able to do, however, is drink, dine and immerse yourself in the hospitality of one of the world’s greatest luxury brands. Part of the French fashion house’s celebration of 130 years of its famous monogram, the Louis Vuitton Hotel will open its doors to the public for two months from 24 April 2026, inviting guests to explore its world of heritage, craftsmanship, travel and culture.

Set across four floors of a reimagined Mayfair townhouse, a Louis Vuitton branded vintage black cab, replete with besuited driver, sets the stage before impeccably dressed doormen usher you through the front doors and into a ground floor lobby. An ode to the most coveted of weekend bags – the Louis Vuitton Keepall – in this sophisticated lounge-style space, guests are invited to browse travel guides and coffee table books (available to buy at the ‘check in desk’, complete with counter bell), write postcards to loved ones, or call on the help of the Conciergerie to restore overly loved LV bags and accessories.

Heading upstairs, Café Alma takes its name from Louis Vuitton’s elegant signature top handle bag, and promises a gastronomic coming together of Paris and London. Designed as a classic Parisian bistro, with soaring double-height ceilings, vast picture windows filling the space with natural light, cosy velvet booths and crisp table linens, book a table for lunch to sample signature dishes including lobster roll with celeriac rémoulade, poached white asparagus with lovage, and spring tomato carpaccio, alongside monogram-inspired entremets of Earl Grey and plum sablé, and apple and hazelnut panna cotta.

Afternoon tea more your thing? Served daily from 3-7pm, Louis Vuitton Hotel’s pretty as a picture cake stand features mini lobster rolls, cucumber tzatziki finger sandwiches, and Scottish smoked salmon and cream cheese ‘monogram’, alongside scones with cream and jam, and a selection of delectable petit fours each shaped like an element of the Louis Vuitton monogram. All washed down with a crisp glass of Ruinart champagne, of course.

Perhaps, however, save the indulgence until after you’ve hit the fourth-floor gym. A celebration of the chicest gym bag on the market – the Neverfull – this intimate space sees the signature LV bucket bag display its might via 100kg dumbbells and act as the most fashion-forward of barbells. Alternatively, head across the hall to retreat to your private boudoir, complete with walk-in dressing room and a high security vault in which to keep your extensive collection of rare Louis Vuitton Speedy bags. Stop to customise your look from a wall of adorable bag charms before picking up the handset on your vintage landline and calling ‘1930’ to find out all about the history of Louis Vuitton’s most famous bags.

Ready to get the party started? Head down to the basement to discover Bar Noé: a stylish subterranean drinking den inspired by the eponymous Louis Vuitton bag which, aptly, began life as a champagne holder. Find yourself a cosy corner and order a delicious glass of bubbles while you wait for nightfall – every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening the city’s best vinyl DJs will take to the decks to keep the good vibes going all night long.

Interspersed throughout the hotel, guests will also have the opportunity to admire vintage Louis Vuitton designs, archival posters and advertisements, plus pieces from the contemporary fashion and beauty collections. Bringing together fabulous shopping, fine dining, chic socialising and a truly unique immersive luxury experience, don’t miss your chance to see it firsthand.

Tickets to visit the Louis Vuitton Hotel are free but must be booked in advance, with new tickets released daily; reservations at Café Alma and Bar Noé are also advised. Visit louisvuitton.com to book now.
