London Art Book Fair, Whitechapel Gallery

This weekend, the Whitechapel Gallery will be transformed into a publishing school showcasing an array of creative and cutting-edge art books and magazines from around the world. The London Art Book Fair will also host a programme of events ranging from workshops to performances, as well as the opportunity to buy some of the diverse range of books exhibited and get them signed by the writers themselves. It is an ideal experience for book-worms and artists alike.

Tower of London Food Festival

The Tower of London Food Festival returns this weekend for three days of diverse cuisine, drinks and merriment, set against the dramatic backdrop of the historic tower. There will be intimate food demonstrations from Michel Roux Jr, Nadiya Hussain and Melissa Hemsley and live music throughout the weekend. The Champagne PIAFF tent will be pouring bubbles all day long, while The Alchemist will be shaking theatrical cocktails. And for the icing on the cake: all ticket-holders will have access into the iconic Tower itself.

Paradise Now, Eccleston Yards

London’s first ‘wellbeing playground’ opens this Friday in Belgravia for seven days of uplifting indulgence, curated by Bompas and Parr. Set in Eccleston Yards, the outdoor urban spa will combine the latest state-of-the-art wellbeing trends, including biohacking, rehydration technology and nootropics. Bathe in a fountain of pink mist or enjoy a perpetual sunset in the form of a large-scale infrared light installation. As per any Bompas and Parr event, expect plenty multi-sensory extravagance and colourful experimentation. The event is free and each session lasts 30 minutes.

Classic Boat Festival, St Katherine Docks

The Classic Boat Festival sails into St Katharine Docks this weekend a part of Totally Thames, a month-long riverside festival. The event will showcase more than 40 vintage sailing and motor boats, many of which guests can climb aboard, and will be accompanied by pop-up bars, street food and live entertainment.

Sweaty Betty Live returns to London this Saturday to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary. Head to Battersea Park this weekend for London’s new organic food and music festival. The two-day organic extravangaza presents demonstrations and classes by chefs including Melissa Hemsley, Theo Randall and Honey Spencer, as well as live music and theatre. In addition to this, the festival will showcase more than 100 stalls spanning food, drink and fresh produce. This family-friendly festival will also have activities for the children, including free fair rides and a petting farm.
