Juniper-infused events are taking place all across London this weekend in celebration of World Gin Day on Saturday 8 June. Drink Up London’s World Gin Day Festival is a five-day gin extravaganza, during which bars all across London offer bespoke £6 gin cocktails. Grab your digital pass online and work your way around the capital, from The Coral Room in Bloomsbury to 68 and Boston in Soho and Bluebird in Chelsea. There are also special tours and events, including a history of gin masterclass at View from the Shard, in partnership with the City of London Distillery. Elsewhere, Duck & Dry in Mayfair is offering complimentary gin cocktails with all blow dries booked throughout the weekend – cheers!

Chestertons Polo in the Park, Fulham (Friday-Sunday)

Don your finery and head to Hurlingham Park in Fulham this weekend for Chestertons Polo in the Park, which is this year celebrating its 10th birthday. Polo teams from across the world will compete during the prestigious three-day spectacle, supported by lashings of Lanson champagne. Revellers can also enjoy tipples at the Mahiki tiki pop-up, Slingsby Cocktail Bar and Fever-tree Gin Garden where guests can enjoy a special limited-edition mixer created by Patrón and Fever-tree. In addition to this, there will be a grand line-up of street food in the Grazing Paddock from Mac Factory to Claw.

Open Garden Squares Weekend, throughout London (Saturday and Sunday)

Open Garden Squares Weekend unlocks the gates of more than 130 of London’s most gorgeous private gardens and celebrates the capital’s array of green spaces. Highlights this year include Cadogan Place Gardens in Chelsea; the gardens of Bell House in Dulwich; the sky-skimming Cannon Bridge House Roof Gardens and an array of enchanting community gardens with a worthwhile cause. BBC Gardener’s World presenter, Adam Frost has also designed a garden for the occasion, which crowns The Passage Resource Centre in Victoria. There will be walking and cycling tours, as well as a live performance from National Youth Jazz Orchestra in the Phoenix Garden on Sunday.

Cash & Rocket Car Rally (Friday)

The annual Cash & Rocket rally revs into London this weekend. It is the world’s only all-female charity-fundraising car tour, which sets off from London this Saturday before travelling to Paris, Geneva and Monte Carlo. The four-day event brings together 80 women from the worlds of fashion, film, music, art and business, including Paris Hilton, Jodie Kidd and Amy Jackson. The cars will set off this Friday from London’s Met Hotel, following a photocall at Wellington Arch on Thursday. The event, which is sponsored by Michael Kors, Piaget and Bentley among others, is raising money for The Marwyn Trust, who work with young children and their communities in disadvantaged areas of Africa.

London Fashion Week Men’s, St James’s (Saturday-Monday)

London Fashion Week Men’s returns to the capital this weekend for three days of sartorial indulgence from the best of British fashion and design. On Saturday, Jermyn Street will play host for the fifth year to the St James’s LFWM catwalk show. Curated by stylist Catherine Hayward, more than 30 menswear brands from St James’s will be participating, including John Smedley, Dunhill, Aquascutum, Sunspel, Lock & Co, Turnbull & Asser and New & Lingwood. There will also be food trucks from local restaurants as well as live music performances throughout the day.

Moët & Chandon pop-up Summer House, St. James’s (Saturday-Monday)

This weekend, Moët & Chandon is taking over a Georgian mansion in St James’s for three days of champagne-fuelled masterclasses, panel discussions and delectable events. Highlights include bingo and a pub quiz hosted by Jack Guinness; beauty makeovers by Givenchy and the opportunity to have your portrait photographed by Candice Lake, while Isaac Carew and Jason Atherton are among chefs cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Pittsburgh Art on the Bank, Southbank (Sunday-Saturday)

The creative spirit of Pittsburgh is transforming the South Bank for a week-long multi-disciplinary exhibition, showcasing 12 established and emerging Pittsburgh-based artists. Visitors to this exhibition can peruse original tapestry pieces, digital installations, visual poems, oil-on-canvas paintings and archived photography, as well partaking in a series of free silk-screening sessions to learn the technique famously used by Andy Warhol, who was born in Pittsburgh. There will also be an ‘in conversation with’ session with Warhol’s nephew, Donald Wahola and the chance to win a five-night trip for two to Pittsburgh courtesy of British Airways.
