Art and design fairs abound this weekend and High Street Kensington welcomes a new late-night venue

Amazónico Restaurant, Mayfair

Londoners, there’s a new kid on the block. Amazónico is the latest restaurant opening on Mayfair’s Berkeley Square. From the restaurant group that brought us Coya, Zuma and Nusr-et, Amazónico promises to take visitors on an Epicurean journey along the Amazon river, in an exotic and enticing space cocooned by lush vegetation, terracotta features and a theatrical glass-fronted kitchen. A live jazz band will accompany dinner service and as dusk turns to dark, the lounge and bar will host a resident DJ. The hugely successful Madrid outpost of Amazónico is a favourite of celebrities and socialites – we’re pretty certain Berkeley Square is going to get a whole lot more busy.

Date: Open to the public from the 9th November Time: until late Location: 10 Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London W1J 6BR Closest Station: Green Park

This dramatic performance is supported by composer Pyotr Il’yich Tchaikovsky’s powerful ballet scores and spellbinding sets inspired by Oliver Messel’s original designs.
