This week, Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand goop launches a European e-commerce site and pop-up boutique on Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill, open until the end of January 2019. The pop-up boutique, which marks ten years since goop’s inception, has been designed by Fran Hickman and showcases goop’s line of organic skincare, beauty and fragrance products, alongside luxury lifestyle wares spanning fashion, interiors and wellbeing. Festival of Film, Kensington

The Royal Albert Hall’s Festival of Film returns for a five-week celebration of famous film scores. Opening this weekend, enjoy a varied schedule of immersive movie and music experiences spanning screenings, symphonies, talks and tours. This Saturday and Sunday afternoon, enjoy an alfresco performance of Jurassic Park in Concert, which coincides with the movie franchise’s 25th birthday. The Wife opens at Cinemas

Philharmonia Orchestra’s VR Experience

This weekend, the Southbank Centre hosts the Philharmonic Orchestra for a unique and free virtual reality experience. Don a VR headset and experience excerpts of symphonies by Beethoven and Mahler performed by the famous orchestra and recorded with 3D audio and video. Each session lasts twenty minutes and allows you to see and hear the orchestra from all around. It’s easily the best seat in the house.

Zero MKT, Kensington

London’s first vegan, zero-waste market is taking place this Saturday in Kensington. Coined Zero MKT, the plant-based extravaganza showcases an array of food stalls committed to sustainability. The market operates a zero waste policy, ensuring everything is reusable, recyclable or compostable and all profits will be donated to animal protection organisation, Animal Equality. Alongside vegan dishes, visitors can peruse organic make-up, recycled jewellery, and accessories. The event will also be partnering with City Harvest to redistribute surplus food to London’s homeless so that absolutely nothing is wasted.

American indoor cycling company Peloton is famed stateside for its high-tech exercise bikes, that create a private spin studio in the comfort of your own home. The company launches this month in the UK and is celebrating with a free pop-up event in Covent Garden. Coined Peloton House, visitors can experience the fitness bike and video subscription service, which allows users to train with on-demand professional instructors. The exercise bike has already gained a celebrity fan base, which includes David Beckham, Ellen DeGeneres and the greatest showman himself: Hugh Jackman.
