Anish Kapoor at Pitzhanger Manor, Ealing (all weekend)

Built by Sir John Sloane as a country retreat at the turn of the 19th century, Pitzhanger Manor has been restored to its Regency glory and reopened to the public. For its inaugural exhibition, the gallery welcomes an astounding array of mirrored sculptures by Anish Kapoor, on display for the first time and created in response to the building. Full of optical tricks and clever reflections, Kapoor masterfully uses mirrors and light to exaggerate and distort the space, resulting in a trippy, Alice in Wonderland-esque experience.

London Original Print Fair, Mayfair (all weekend)

Pick up a new piece of art this weekend at the London Original Print Fair. View and buy original prints spanning five centuries, from top international dealers, galleries and studios. The Glass Piano at The Print Room, Notting Hill Gate (all weekend)

The Print Room’s latest play is based on the true story of a 19th-century German princess, Princess Alexandra; a woman who believed she had a glass piano inside her. The princess – played by Grace Molony – believes she swallowed the piano as a child, and lives a cautious life, that is until Lucien Bonaparte (Laurence Ubong Williams) appears in her life and turns it upside down.

Stanley Kubrick Exhibition at the Design Museum, Kensington (all weekend)

The much-anticipated exhibition dedicated to Stanley Kubrick opens this weekend, curated by a long-time friend of Kubrick’s, as well as his brother-in-law. The display draws on a colossal archive built up at Kubrick’s Hertfordshire home, including original props and costumes from films including A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and The Shining, alongside rare photographs and ephemera.

River Walk Market, Battersea (Saturday)

A new independent market opens in Battersea this Saturday. Set beneath the iconic towers of Battersea Power Station, the weekly food and craft market will play host to local food and drink producers including artisan bakery The Flour Station; café-deli Popina and pastry guru Casa Cannoli. There will also be handcrafted wares from local artists and designers, alongside live music.

The London Marathon (Sunday)

40,000 runners will pound the streets of London this Sunday for the 39th Virgin Money London Marathon. Andy Murray will start the race, while Sir Mo Farah and Eliud Kipchoge are among those competing for first place. The race will begin at Blackheath and Greenwich Park, travelling through Canary Wharf and London Bridge before reaching the finish line at The Mall alongside St James’s Park.
