This weekend, cut loose at a Brazilian carnival party, marvel at classic motors and Guccify your wardrobe in London

The London Classic Car Show, Kensington Olympia (from Thursday)

The London Classic Car Show is once again revving into Olympia London for the weekend. Discover a fleet of more than 500 classic cars worth upwards of £70million, including David Beckham’s Aston Martin and David Gandy’s Jaguar. Further attractions include five models of the Audi Quattro to mark its 40th anniversary and eight Range Rover SUVs including a two-door ‘Reborn’ model complete with original features and Land Rover classic parts. A two-day auction will take place from Saturday, showcasing a curation of vehicles including a 1983 Ferrari 512 BBi. A schedule of expert talks, coined Car Stories, which discuss the history of six classic cars, including a Lotus 49B and a collection of Aston Martins.

Gucci pops up at Selfridges, Mayfair (all weekend)

Guccify your weekend at the new Gucci Psychedelic pop-up at the Selfridges Corner Shop, a collaborative space on the ground floor of the Oxford Street department store. Designed by creative director Alessandro Michele, the immersive pop-up promotes Gucci’s new GG Psychedelic Collection of multicoloured, logo-heavy accessories and ready-to-wear, including a number of striking exclusives.

Masculinities: Liberation through Photography at The Barbican (from Thursday)

An new exhibition at The Barbican brings together more than 50 historic and contemporary artists to explore the various interpretations and complex facets of masculinity. From Andrew Moisey’s photobook, The American Fraternity: An Illustrated Ritual Manual, which weaves together archival photographs of former US Presidents, to influential image-makers inclouding Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Kenneth Anger, Sunil Gupta, and Collier Schorr, this exhibition is a timely reflection on what it means to be a man in today’s world.

Looking ahead to next week, a new retrospective exhibition in Mayfair celebrates watchmaker Jean-Claude Biver, former president of the LVMH Watch Division.
