Regents Park's Open Air Theatre season culminates with a new production of Evita, performed beneath the stars. Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, which is based on the true-life tale of Argentine political leader Eva Perón, is directed by Jamie Lloyd, who previously directed Betrayal at the Harold Pinter Theatre, starring Tom Hiddleston.

State Room Openings at Buckingham Palace, Kensington (all weekend)

This weekend, Buckingham Palace is opening its golden gates to the public for the summer, allowing access to the historic staterooms. It also allows you to visit the Queen Victoria’s Palace exhibition, which celebrates 200 years since the influential monarch was born.

The Moon Exhibition at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich (all weekend) 

As the world celebrates 50 years since the Apollo 11 moon landing, the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich is commemorating the anniversary with a unique exhibition dedicated to the moon. The celestial collection includes original artefacts from the Apollo 11 mission, on loan from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C, and both contemporary and historic artwork, including early observational drawings. The exhibition also looks to the future of space exploration and the real importance of the moon.
