The Crown alumni Claire Foy and Matt Smith reunite on stage this weekend to star in Duncan Macmillan’s production of Lungs. Ditching their majestic regalia, the play explores the struggle of modern parenthood, as a young couple considers bringing a child into a world plagued by climate change and global warming. This is a thought-provoking and relatable tale, brought to life by Foy and Smith’s undeniable chemistry.

Giant Pumpkin Display, Covent Garden (all weekend)

A giant pumpkin has popped up in Covent Garden for Halloween, displayed in the style of Disney’s Cinderella Carriage. Festooned in front of the Market Building, the pumpkin is surrounded by more than 20 different types of British grown plants and makes for the perfect autumnal selfie spot.

Halloween Events in London (from Thursday)

Halloween festivities are set to spill into the weekend, as London’s best bars and clubs line up four days of ghoulish celebrations. For decadence at dizzy heights, Join Atmosphere Venues at London Sky Bar for an immersive zombie party 28 floors above the ground. Guests will be greeted with men dressed in Hazmat suits, ready to save them from the surrounding zombie outbreak/ Artful Dodger is on the decks, while sustenance is provided by a Freakdog food cart.

Tutankhamun: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh at The Saatchi Gallery, Chelsea (all weekend)

Visit Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea this weekend to marvel at the largest number of Tutankhamun artefacts to ever leave Egypt. More than 150 original objects from the world-famous Pharaoh’s tomb are on display, spanning jewellery, curious sculptures and ancient coins. 60 of these objects are travelling out of Egypt for the final time before they are permanently returned to the almost-completed Grand Egyptian Museum, opening next year. The exhibition marks 100 years since Tutankhamun’s tomb was unearthed by British explorer Howard Carter and financier Lord Carnarvon in 1922.

Battle of Ideas at the Barbican (all weekend)

The Battle of Ideas returns to the Barbican this year for a topical run of lively debates. With more than 90 sessions, there are a variety of different themes; from Architecture and the City to Liberty and Law. The festival brings together hundreds of insightful speakers from across the globe and all opinions are welcome.

Regent Street Motor Show, London (Saturday)

A fleet of impressive cars is revving into Regent Street this weekend. In partnership with the Movember Foundation and celebrating 125 years of motoring, the prestigious shopping row will be pedestrianised to showcase veteran, vintage classics and modern-day cars. There will be a Kids Zone, featuring Trackstars karting, a Top Gear experience and a 1930s retro red fire engine.

Riley Studio’s first Concept Store, Notting Hill (Friday and Saturday)

Riley Studio is hosting their very first Concept Store, which is running for two weeks, to celebrate their latest sustainable collection ‘From Waste to Wardrobe’. There will be an array of different events to educate customers on sustainability and they will be also showcasing a number of their favourite sustainable brands; By Sarah, The Ocean Bottle, Frank green, REN Skincare and more. They have even created their installations using recycled materials and have set up plastic collection points at their London WeWork in partnership with TerraCycle.
