From the brand that helped introduce Ivy League style to the rest of the world, the GANT Championships at London’s Roehampton Club is a new, intimate pre-Wimbledon international tennis event. Built on the great history of the popular Roehampton Cup, the club has attracted the world’s best players for many years including Lleyton Hewitt and Boris Becker. This year, the exclusive event takes place over three days, with three matches taking place on each day.

The GANT Championships is built around an innovative all action ‘Now vs Next’ format – driven by the GANT’s credo of ‘Never Stop Learning.’ Last year’s event saw the stars of today, featuring the ever-popular Richard Gasquet and Fernando Verdasco, taking on future superstars and American sensations Frances Tiafoe and Jared Donaldson. 2019 sees just as impressive a lineup in the tranquil grounds.

Amongst the highlights of this year’s upcoming tournament, Jo Wilfred Tsonga (Highest ATP ranking: 5th; one of only 3 players to have Grand Slam wins against each of the Big Four (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray) will be playing for Team Now against Frances Tiafoe (youngest American ranked in the ATP Top 50) of Team Next. Attendance is limited to just 1,000 spectators a day, meaning every seat is close to the action, giving the tournament an intimate feel of world-class grass court tennis; but within just four miles from central London, 20 minutes from Waterloo station and one mile from East Putney tube station.
