In Duke of York Square stands a statue of Hans Sloane, the explorer and benefactor credited with bringing chocolate milk to the UK. Visit on Saturday 13 April for a deluxe Chocolate Market featuring an array of artisan confectioners, in addition to more experimental dishes including cacao-infused sushi by Aki Maki and chocolate-flavoured spring rolls by Rao Deli. Afterwards, burn off all that chocolate with a stroll down the King's Road or step inside the UK's largest kaleidoscope at Saatchi Gallery.

Royal Choral Society performing Handel's Messiah, Kensington (Good Friday)

The Royal Choral Society has performed Handel’s masterpiece, Messiah, on Good Friday afternoon at the Royal Albert Hall every year since 1876. This year, the oratorio will this be performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra alongside a superb line-up of soloists during what promises to be an uplifting and celebratory afternoon.

Fabergé Easter Lunch at The Ritz, Mayfair (15-22 April) 

For the most decadent lunch in London this Easter, head to The Ritz. The inimitable hotel has partnered with Fabergé on a resplendent Easter dish, inspired by the 1914 imperial Mosaic Egg. The picture-perfect creation is part of a three-course menu, created by chef John Williams MBE, which is served within the Michelin-starred hotel dining room.

Easter Fun Yard at The Curtain,  Shoreditch (Easter Sunday)

Easter bunnies and baby chics abound this Easter Sunday at The Curtain in Shoreditch. Easter at Fucina, Marylebone (16 April-7 May)

Fucina, Marylebone's chic and sizeable Italian restaurant, has unveiled a gigantic Easter egg, handpainted by artist Luke Edward Hall. Featuring a signature linear portrait and swirling florals, the large-scale egg is calling out for Easter photo opportunities. On Easter Sunday, Fucina is dishing up Welsh lamb shoulder with all the trimmings, plus bottomless bloody mary cocktails and wine.

The Lanesborough Hotel's Enchanted Garden, Hyde Park (14 April)

The Lanesborough Hotel, a stone’s throw away from Buckingham Palace, is transforming its Michelin Star restaurant, Céleste, into an Enchanted Garden for Easter Sunday. The five-star hotel has collaborated with Moriarty Events and Nikki Tibbles Wild At Heart to create an immersive, fairytale wonderland for filled with hidden Easter eggs for families to explore. Further confections, including cakes and chocolate lollipops, will be provided by Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium, while entertainment comes courtesy of esteemed party planners, NOTORiOUS KiDS. Adults can enjoy champagne and afternoon tea canapés on the raised balcony, looking down on the festivities. Little guests will also be given a goodie-packed bag from children’s outfitters La Stupenderia to take home.

William Curley at The Gherkin, Bank (throughout April)

Enjoy sweet treats at dizzy heights this Easter at Helix, located on level 39 of The Gherkin in The City. The restaurant has partnered with Scottish chocolatier William Curley on an inventive, chocolate-fuelled Easter menu that includes cauliflower and Berkshire blue soup topped with cacao nibs; Willy’s chocolate mousse; brandy snap with Bailey’s cream and chocolate-infused espresso martini cocktails.

Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt in Kensington Palace (throughout April)

Royal abode, Kensington Palace, is hosting its first public Easter Egg hunt. Hop along to the palace with the whole family and enjoy a day of exploring the palace and gardens while looking for Lindt Gold Bunnies, hidden in the green. Following the hunt, families can also dress up in Georgian costume and attend an Easter-themed party with a historic twist, at the court of King George II.

Bread Ahead Baking Workshop, London Bridge (Good Friday and Holy Saturday)

London born and bred (pun intended) bakery is hosting a special Easter baking workshop on Good Friday and Holy Saturday. Novikov Easter, Mayfair (bank holiday weekend)

Berkeley Street's unabashedly glam restaurant and bar, Novikov, is hosting a weekend of Easter events for little ones, including egg painting and an Easter egg hunt. Parents can watch the egg hunt unfold while working through an Italian menu of buffalo mozzarella; seafood salad with scallops and Sicilian prawns or sizzling roasted lamb, cooked in the clay with garlic and rosemary.
