The Colony Grill Room at The Beaumont Hotel, Mayfair 

The Colony Grill Room at The Beaumont Hotel is hosting a New Year’s Eve party for the first time this year. Celebrations will commence at 9pm with welcome cocktails in the walnut-panelled Magritte Bar, followed by a five course dinner in The Colony Room. Post-midnight, guests will be entertained by a live 1920s swing band – in keeping with the Roaring-20s-Art Deco design of the Mayfair-based hotel – which will play popular jazz music until 2am. See in 2020 in style by spending the night at the five-star property and enjoy a Full English Breakfast on New Year’s Day and a late check out time of 2pm.

The Lanesborough’s New Year’s Eve House Party, Hyde Park

Following its inaugural New Year’s Eve party in 2018, The Lanesborough will once again be closing its doors on 31 December to throw a house party in collaboration with Moët & Chandon. The hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Céleste, will be transformed into an exclusive nightclub, while The Belgravia Ballroom will be serving a selection of speed rails, rum and Champagne-based cocktails to a backdrop of Latin American music. Elsewhere, The Great Hall will be converted into an extensive seafood and champagne bar; the St Georges’ dining room will become a Lebanese Lounge; the Library & Withdrawing Room will be offering up house music and cocktails; and, finally, The Westminster Room will become a modern-day speakeasy with signature Gatsby-era cocktails and a live band. Doors open at 8pm and festivities continue until 3am.

Decimo at The Standard King's Cross

Peter Sanchez-Iglesias and his restaurant Decimo have been the talk of the town since opening atop The Standard King’s Cross. Offering views of pretty much every sight that London has to offer, it will undoubtedly be a wild night to ring in the New Year.

The London Cabaret Club at the Bloomsbury Ballroom, Bloomsbury

You’ve seen the film, now live the experience. Inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel, the London Cabaret Club will be putting on a Great Gatsby extravaganza this New Year’s Eve at the appropriately Art Deco Bloomsbury Ballroom. Channel your inner Jay Gatsby or Daisy Buchanan during a six- or four-course dinner, while stars from the West End perform a diverse range of acts, alongside routines by acrobats, aerialists and contortionists. After the show, entertainment continues in The Ballroom’s newly relaunched Rose Bar, where a DJ will keep the party going until 5am – ensuring that New Year’s Day might be something of a struggle.

Radio Rooftop at ME London Hotel, The Strand

Launched on the Strand in summer 2012 as the UK’s first Foster + Partners’ hotel, ME London has since become one of the hottest venues in town come New Year’s Eve thanks to the envious view offered by the hotel’s top-floor bar, Radio Rooftop. A panoramic vista of London’s central skyline – stretching from Tower Bridge to the Houses of Parliament – provides one of the best vantage points from which to witness the capital’s spectacular firework display come midnight. Tickets include a welcome glass of Champagne and an open bar (beer, wine, single house spirits), hot and cold canapés, charcuterie and artisan cheeses, sweet treats, and a live DJ set. Doors open at 7:30pm and the party will continue until late.

Amazonico, Mayfair

Madrilleno restaurant and celeb-magnet Amazonico made a splash in Mayfair even before it opened. With its luxe rainforest ambiance and a menu that straddles Europe, Asia and South America, it’s the flavour of the month. Get bookings in for NYE now, where there will be a house band and DJ to see you into 2020.

Sushisamba, Liverpool Street

Bring New Year’s Eve to the next level – the 38th floor of the Heron Tower to be exact. Sushisamba has a sturdy reputation for throwing some of the wildest parties in town and this year is no exception. The restaurant will be transformed into an Amazonian rainforest with an immersive design, Amazon-themed cocktails, colourful performers and proceeds donated to charity partner Cool Earth.

Quo Vadis Members' Club, Soho

Private club Quo Vadis will be opening the doors of its second floor to the members and public alike with an evening of fun and frivolity. After gourmandising on an exceptional Jeremey Lee feast featuring such classic dishes as baked salsify, sirloin and meringue tumbles, guests can pull shapes to a DJ from 10pm onwards.

Aqua Kyoto, Oxford Circus

Ring in the New Year from a celebrated Soho rooftop at Aqua Kyoto. There will be a DJ performing from 10pm until 4am and attendees can either opt for a bar ticket with entertainment or a dinner ticket with champagne upon arrival.

12th Knot at Sea Containers London, Southbank

Perched atop Sea Containers London on the South Bank, 12th Knot offers peerless views of the Mayor of London’s fireworks. Shangri-La Hotel, The Shard 

The Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard is offering two decades for you to choose from this New Years Eve to ensure you welcome the new decade we are embarking on in style. Get transported to 1977 at GŌNG Bar, London’s highest hotel bar, as it is transformed into the iconic Studio 54 club for one night only for a Studio 52 soiree. Groove all night to the best disco tunes alongside internationally renowned acts who will be sure to add yet more glitz and glamour to the proceedings. Alternatively, enjoy a first-class flight like no other back to the 1950’s at TĪNG Restaurant and indulge on a six-course menu as the fifties themed festivities get underway.
