The Greenhouses first opened in Marylebone at the beginning of 2023, bringing a unique collection of private dining spaces to London, and with it a tranquil oasis amid the bustle of the capital. With its first location set within the grounds of the Grade I-listed One Marylebone, it quickly expanded to The City, offering a second intimate setting for special occasions. Following huge success and after much demand, The City location has just opened its doors to an additional events space: One Smithfield.

Accessed via a hidden entrance on Hayne Street, just moments from the Barbican and next to Charterhouse Square, One Smithfield stands peacefully within this historic stretch of London. Once inside, the private space lends itself to the most magical events, and can accommodate up to 40 guests seated, or 50 standing. 

Whether booking the space for an intimate wedding reception or milestone birthday, bar mitzvah or baby shower, corporate conference or gathering, every detail has been thought through to create a truly unforgettable venue for memorable moments. Flooded with natural light and decorated with abundant foliage, the space is elegant and romantic, sophisticated and nature-inspired, with a luxurious feel. Above the main space sits a tile and copper mezzanine bar, while a beautifully laid, flower-filled table lines the ground floor for seated occasions.  

Middle Eastern sharing menus are included with every booking, whether for lunch or evening banquets. Dishes include the likes of challah braided bread and dips to begin, followed by showstopper mains such as chermoula chicken, tomahawk steak, roast salmon fillet and charred hispi cabbage, accompanied by fresh, fragrant sides. Irresistible desserts, including strawberry trifle and chocolate cheesecake, promise delicious and refined flavours to elevate the experience further. Breakfast and Afternoon teas are also available, with a selection of sandwiches, savoury snacks, sweet treats, and of course, scones and plenty of tea (and bubbles).
