Pan Pacific London

What better way to see out the year than with a line-up of festive activities at one of London’s most elegant luxury hotels? Pan Pacific London is spreading the joy with a full schedule of seasonal events and limited edition menus to get you in the Christmas spirit in style.

Christmas cocktails at the bar – yes please. Afternoon tea with Rudolph-themed sweet treats, don’t mind if we do. A four-course festive menu with all the trimmings and lashings of perfectly paired wine. Now you’re talking. And, to top it off, a New Year’s Eve bash that will have you dancing until the early hours. What can’t Pan Pacific London do?

The good news is it’s never too early to start the Christmas countdown. From 11 November 2024, Pan Pacific London will be transformed into a winter wonderland. The plaza in front of the glamorous glass-fronted hotel in Bishopsgate will feature London’s tallest Christmas tree, standing at 67 feet, which will be adorned with 65,000 sparkling lights in collaboration with the Eastern City Business Improvement District. Inside, the hotel will also be welcoming guests for festive feasts and spectacular soirées – read on for the full low-down.

Embrace roast season at Straits Kitchen

Fact: winter Sundays are for roasts. Book your table at Pan Pacific London’s Straits Kitchen to enjoy three courses with unlimited sides, including potatoes, gravy and Yorkshire puddings, accompanied by live music for the complete experience. Desserts include a tangy mango lime cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding, while guests will be greeted with a glass of Taittinger Champagne and a snack on arrival to add a touch of sparkle to the occasion.

Sunday roasts at Straits Kitchen are available from 27 October – 29 December 2024.

Sip on seasonal cocktails at Ginger Lily

Whether you’re after a sophisticated post-work drinking spot or a cosy den for Saturday date nights, Pan Pacific London’s Ginger Lily Bar & Lounge is the perfect place for festive drinks. Its Ginger Lily Festive Punch packs a punch, mixing vodka with gingerbread syrup, baked fruits and aromatic spices. For chillier days, guests can enjoy gourmet hot chocolates and chocolate cocktails from the Pierre Marcolini cart – choose the Cinnamon Hot Chocolate with rum, Cointreau and cinnamon, or the festive Gingerbread Hot Chocolate with gingerbread syrup, whipped cream and marshmallows.

Seasonal cocktails at Ginger Lily are available from 27 October – 29 December 2024.

Tuck into the Festive Experience menu

Christmas is synonymous with good food and wine, so what better way to kick start the celebrations than with an indulgent four-course meal at Straits Kitchen? The hotel’s executive chef Adam Bateman has dreamt up a twist on the classics this Christmas – start with wild mushroom soup and smoked salmon before digging into roast turkey with all the trimmings. Last but definitely not least, finish with Christmas pudding or an exclusive Bailey’s ‘bauble’ (a decadent chocolate mousse with spiced apple compote and caramel sauce). Top it off with a curated wine pairing for an extra dose of good cheer.

The Festive Experience menu is available from 11 November 2024, priced at £65, plus an additional £35 for wine pairing.

Pan Pacific London Afternoon Tea

Indulge in a festive afternoon tea

For afternoon tea lovers, nab a table at Straits Kitchen for the ultimate scone-eating, tea-sipping experience with a magical twist for the festivities. Enjoy delicious finger sandwiches, followed by seasonal orange and cranberry scones served with Cornish clotted cream, homemade strawberry preserves and orange marmalade. The indulgence is rounded out with a sensational plate of sweet treats – including a Rudolph pecan tart, mint chocolate macaron wreath, and a plum and chestnut mousse bauble. Guaranteed to be demolished in minutes.

And there’s something for the little ones too. The children’s afternoon tea lets little artists unleash their creativity and decorate their own pineapple cupcakes and orange flavoured festive biscuits with all the icing, sprinkles and toppings they could wish for to make their treats uniquely theirs, presented alongside savouries, sweet treats and a delicious coconut hot chocolate or fruity iced tea. Fun for everyone.

The Festive Afternoon Tea is available from 13 November 2024 – 5 January 2025, priced at £68 and £29 per child.

A very merry Christmas Day

On the big day itself, Pan Pacific London is going all out to make it the most memorable Christmas for you and your loved ones. Creating a home away from home, receive a welcome glass of Taittinger Champagne upon arrival before enjoying an afternoon grazing on an elaborate festive buffet.

Head to the carving station for a selection of fine meats, including roast turkey, dry-aged duck and Hereford rib-eye beef, and fill your plate with seasonal favourites, from pigs in blankets and Yorkshires to crispy roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese – no detail is missed. To make your day extra special (and leave you extra stuffed), there’s a selection of indulgent desserts to feast your eyes on including Christmas pudding with brandy custard, and mandarin burnt orange choux. There’ll be all-day entertainment too including mystical tricks from a magician and a visit from Father Christmas himself.

Christmas Day at Pan Pacific London is priced at £135 per person.

Looking for an all-night-long New Year’s Eve party? Pick the five-course set menu and spend the night post-dinner sipping cocktails and dancing ‘til dawn at the hotel’s Ginger Lily bar, where DJs will keep the party going until 2am.

New Year’s Eve at the Pan Pacific London is priced at £80 for three-courses or £160 for five-courses.
