Catering to both and beyond with carefully-curated lunch set menus – designed by head chefs to showcase the very best their restaurant has to offer – book fine-dining fare at The Clove Club, Mauro Colagreco at Raffles, and Brooklands by Claude Bosi at The Peninsula or opt for concise, creative menus by Japanese restaurant Roka or Chinese cuisine at Gouqi. The Clove Club, Shoreditch

For the first time in more than a decade of service, two Michelin-starred restaurant, The Clove Club, has introduced a brand new lunch menu, offering three courses for £95. Continuing to focus on its signature, bold flavours while allowing the team to innovate with entirely different ingredients (the menus change every two weeks), book from Wednesday to Friday to sample dishes like smoked Wiltshire trout with almond milk, slow-roasted guinea fowl with hay hollandaise and lemon and pear frangipane tart. With the dinner menu usually priced at £225 per person, this is a too-good opportunity to miss.

Gloria, Shoreditch

Allow Gloria to be your midday escape to Capri, without leaving Shoreditch. Available Monday to Friday from 12-2.45pm, and priced at £39.50 per person, enjoy three generous courses of Big Mamma favourites – from indulgent cacio e pepe crochettas with truffle honey, pillow-soft homemade ravioli, and classic tiramisù – all served with the signature Capri-glamour Gloria is known for.

Sushisamba, Covent Garden

New for summer, Sushisamba Covent Garden has just launched its Vivo Menu, inviting guests to dine on three courses of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian dishes for just £39. Available daily from 12-4pm, this chef-curated set menu provides the perfect quick business lunch or a leisurely break between sightseeing and shopping while showcasing the season’s freshest ingredients. Highlights include crispy squid, robata donburi bowls and a rotating selection of signature samba rolls alongside imaginative desserts such as Welcome to the Rainforest: a rich Valrhona chocolate filled with creamy vanilla bean custard, strawberry mousse and served over almond-chocolate soil.

The Pelican, Notting Hill


Perfect for a mid-week pick-me-up or weekend social, Notting Hill’s favourite pub, The Pelican has just introduced a new set lunch menu priced at £24 for two courses or three for £29. The menu changes weekly (keep an eye on their Instagram, @thepelican_w11, for updates) but past favourites have been confit duck leg with rhubarb, fried haddock in seaweed butter and marmalade custard tart – so expect great things.

The Ninth, Fitzrovia

Fancy a Michelin-starred lunch without the hefty price tag? Renowned as one of the hardest spots to bag a table due to demand, Jun Tanaka’s acclaimed restaurant now offers a daily set lunch menu with two courses for £33, and three at £38. The regularly-changing menu highlights the best of the seasons, with sample dishes including seabream carpaccio with green chilli and kumquat followed by braised beef with celeriac puree and mojo verde or chargrilled Delica pumpkin with sage and aged parmesan. End on a sweet note with pain perdu and tonka bean ice cream or gruyere Alpage cheese and biscuits – which tastes even sweeter when the whole menu has cost you less than £50 per head.

Inko Nito, Soho


Inko Nito – the playful younger sister to Japanese robatayaki restaurants Roka and Zuma – offers an express lunch menu for £27. Available all day Monday-Thursday, and from 12-5pm on Fridays, expect an array of Korean and Japanese-influenced dishes, where diners are asked to pick one starter and main each. Think steamed prawn and leek dumplings with ginger ponzu and spicy tuna tempura maki roll as well as roasted pork belly with soy kabosu and salmon fillet with grapefruit and sansho salt.

Pied à Terre, Fitzrovia


Under the guise of new head chef Alberto Cavaliere, London's longest-standing Michelin-starred restaurant has unveiled a new three-course lunch menu, priced at £69. Highlighting Pied à Terre's reputation for offering some of the most flexible fine-dining in London, the menu begins with complimentary amuse-bouches before the likes of watermelon 'tuna' crudo and Orkney scallop tartare, then Cornish turbot and Anjou pigeon for main, and white chocolate crémeux or strawberry soufflé for dessert.

Pavyllon London, Mayfair


Michelin-starred Pavyllon, located in Four Seasons Hotel at Park Lane, offers three courses for £55 per person, available daily from 12-2.30pm. Designed to fit into busy schedules, and therefore a perfect choice for business lunches and casual get-togethers, chef Yannick Alléno's menu combines traditional French techniques with modern flavours. Think Hampshire trout tartare with smoked brown butter sauce, crispy pork chop with horseradish beurre blanc and salted chocolate ganache.

Bocconcino, Soho


Promising one of the best-value set menus in London, Bocconcino's Josper Grill offers a slice of Italian elegance in bustling Soho. Starters include classic Italian antipasti while mains are grill-focused, with a selection of rump steak and roasted chicken, as well as tiger prawns skewers. The Ivy, across London

Step back in time at the original Ivy outpost on West Street with its unique set lunch menu. In 1917, London’s theatreland became home to The Ivy, which became an instant sensation, drawing socialites, celebrities, and the crème de la crème of society from across the world. Over 100 years later, The Ivy continues to celebrate its unique history with a menu paying homage to the classics created over the last century, priced at £28.95 for two courses and £34.95 for three. Luca, the Michelin-starred modern Italian restaurant in Clerkenwell, serves a seasonal express lunch menu from its standalone bar, offering diners the chance to enjoy its contemporary take on Italian cuisine in a more casual format. Diners can choose from a regularly-changing menu by head chef Robert Chambers, all designed to observe the traditions of the cuisine to deliver a menu of modern classics. Mauro Colagreco at Raffles London at The OWO, Whitehall

For an elevated value meal, opt for the £65 three-course set lunch menu at Mauro Colagreco’s eponymous restaurant, housed inside Raffles London at The OWO. Here, the globally renowned chef – who holds three-Michelin stars at his Menton restaurant Mirazur – has created a dining experience that champions circular gastronomy. Available from Tuesday to Friday every week, the set lunch menu offers a curated overview of Colagreco’s best dishes, inspired by more than 70 fruits and vegetables native to the British isles.
The set lunch menu begins with asparagus in cashew cream and lovage, followed by a main course of Rhug Estate chicken with beans ragout and wild herbs and Isle of Man honeycomb with bee pollen. Bon appétit!

Roka, Aldwych and Fitzrovia

Famous for its fresh sushi and sashimi, Roka offers a range of set menus catering to all budgets. Both London outposts offer a weekday set lunch menu (£38 per person), featuring hero dishes of baby back pork ribs with sansho and cashew nuts and salmon fillet teriyaki, alongside smaller plates of beef, ginger and sesame dumplings and the chef’s three-piece sashimi selection.

Gouqi, St James’s

Set in the historic centre of St James’s, Gouqi (pronounced “goji”) draws its name from an island in the East China sea, famed for its picturesque fishing villages and eponymous goji berry shrubs. The debut solo venture from Tong Chee Hwee – formerly executive head chef at seven-time Michelin-starred Hakkasan Group – Gouqi offers modern Chinese fine-dining. On Monday to Friday lunchtimes, guests can enjoy three different three-course menus – barbecue, noodle or claypot – for £28 per person.
Expect an array of dumplings and and spring rolls to start (filled with prawn and scallop, spicy lamb, and morel mushrooms) followed by the likes of Gouqi's signature roast duck, honey-glazed Iberico char sui and Hong Kong wonton noodle soup.

Kolamba, Soho and Liverpool Street


Opened on Kingly Street in 2019, and now with an outpost near Liverpool Street, Kolamba offers a modern take on Sri Lankan home cooking, reviving dishes from founders Eroshan and Aushi Meewella's childhoods in Colombo. Adapted by Eroshan from recipes handed down by family and friends, Kolamba's dishes celebrate the communities of Sinhalese, Tamil, Moor, Burger (Dutch) and Malay descent that call Sri Lanka’s capital their home, bringing bold and vibrant flavours to Soho.
From Monday to Friday between 1-4pm, lunch like a Lankan with Kolamba's set menus. Over at Kolamba East, two courses start from £25 and £30 for three – and includes a glass of wine or mocktail – and features idli with sambar, charred coconut chicken, and coconut and lime sorbet. In Soho, however, the lunch menu is priced at £19.50 for two courses, starting with street foods – opt for either Nalini’s fish cutlets with curry mayo, or a vegetarian banana blossom patty with spicy sriracha, before enjoying one of Kolamba's classic rice and curry bowls. Forming the centrepiece of the meal, these bowls include a colourful selection of dhal, cabbage mallum, tomato sambol, spicy pol sambol, and mango chutney, served on a bed of rice alongside a choice of Ceylon chicken, jaggery beef, cashew and pea curry or mango curry.

The Grill By Tom Booton at The Dorchester, Mayfair


The Grill By Tom Booton, The Dorchester’s fabled modern British restaurant, offers lunches that showcase modern twists on classic home-cooked favourites. Served Monday to Saturday, the three courses, priced at £45 per person, start with London burrata with avocado or chilled courgette and basil soup before grilled cod with asparagus or stuffed chicken with wild garlic. Save room for classic English desserts, including blueberry and yogurt soft serve or strawberry and matcha tart with pistachio ice cream – delicious.

The Campaner, Chelsea


Available in the beautiful Catalonian-inspired restaurant in the heart of Chelsea, Campaner’s fixed lunch menu – available Tuesday to Friday from 12-3pm – is priced at £35 and includes a choice of three courses, ranging from classic gazpacho and Spanish tortilla to tomato, onion and tuna belly salad. Mains include Catalan-style chicken supreme, chargrilled cod or fresh fish 'fritura' before the restaurant’s signature dessert: arroz con leche.

Benares, Mayfair


Sample the best of Michelin-starred chef Sameer Taneja’s dishes via the Mayfair restaurant’s two lunch set menus, available Monday to Saturday. The original – where diners can choose between two courses for £43 or three courses for £49 – showcases a curated selection of the restaurant’s finest plates, such as the creamy goats milk paneer tikka and the Welsh lamb and chickpea masala. Take things up a notch, meanwhile, with the lunch tasting set menu – a shortened version of the signature featuring six courses priced at £89 per person – including oyster vindaloo, tandoori lamb chop and hiran boti tikka.

Brooklands By Claude Bosi at The Peninsula Hotel, Mayfair


Brooklands by Claude Bosi at The Peninsula London has recently introduced a new Concorde lunch menu, inspired by the bold innovation of its namesake supersonic aircraft. Priced at £65 for three courses and served throughout the week, the menu promises to take diners on a gastronomic journey across the British Isles. Highlights include Cornish squid with koji rice, Lake District lamb with mint and pastrami, and the best of British apples with meadowsweet and buckwheat – the ideal end to a memorable but speedy lunch.
