The Michelin-starred chefs will unite this April for an exclusive evening in aid of Hospitality Action

In a culinary meeting of minds, Alain Ducasse and Jason Atherton are joining forces for a one-off charity dinner in aid of Hospitality Action. On 22nd April 2020, the Michelin-starred chefs will co-host an exclusive dinner at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, which reopened in January following an extensive renovation.

Beginning with a champagne and canapé reception, the evening will include a five-course menu devised by the two chefs and inspired by their individual signature dishes – such as Atherton’s turbot with morels, asparagus, black truffle and vin jaune jus, and Ducasse’s Scottish langoustines with pistachio and citrus.

The cooks will be joined by their protégées Jean-Philippe Blondet, executive chef at Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, and Daniel Birk, executive chef at Atherton’s The Social Company.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Hospitality Action, for which Jason Atherton is principal patron. The 183-year-old charity was established in 1837 and offers financial, physical and psychological support to those working, or retired from, the hospitality industry.

“Hosting this event with Alain, a chef who I have always looked up to and followed, is incredibly special,” Atherton commented. “To be supporting a charity I feel so passionately about is an honour, especially to do so at an institution like Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester. I hope other chefs and restaurateurs see someone like the legendary Ducasse backing Hospitality Action as encouragement for them in turn to champion outstanding conditions for our chefs, waiters, and hospitality professionals. We can’t wait to raise a toast with you to celebrate all they do.”

“It is a great pleasure to join forces with Jason Atherton, who I have long admired, for a very special evening,” Ducasse added. “I am especially looking forward to honouring the incredible work by Hospitality Action and the essential awareness they bring to support the hardworking and dedicated hospitality teams.”

Five-course menu with wine pairing, £290 per person, 7pm, 22nd April 2020. The next release of tickets will be on on 16 March 2020 at 9:00am, reservations can be made via Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester’s reservations team: anais.malet@AlainDucasse-Dorchester.com / +44 (0)20 7629 88 66
