Summer is official over, which, in the world of celebrity, means it’s time to start gearing up for awards season. How best to do that? By pulling on your most fabulous frock and hot footing it over to the Venice Film Festival 2025, of course.

And, while the serious actors will claim it’s all about incredible directrion and tour de force performances, secretly everyone knows that putting in an equally great stint in the wardrobe derpatment can really increase your chances of taking home those all-important gongs.

Accordingly, the Venice Film Festival has already awarded us some rather wonderful fashion moments. Alba Rohrwacher was given the honour of being the first to wear a piece from Jonathan Anderson’s as-yet-unseen womenswear collection for Dior (spoiler alert: we love) while Julia Roberts looked so good in head-to-toe ’90s-inspired style by Versace’s new creative director Dario Vitale that Amanda Seyfried wore the exact same look just days later.
