The first day of spring 2026 arrives with the equinox on 20 March. But when it comes to new season fashion, it’s already officially started. The world’s best designers flocked to Paris, London, New York and Milan in September 2025 to showcase their SS26 menswear collections to the elite style set – and now they’re ready for you to shop.

From elevated pyjamas to collegiate classics, take note of the hottest SS26 trends below and get inspired for sun-drenched days ahead. We’ve even handpicked some of our favourite styles for you to add to your shopping lists now so you can nail the look tout suite.

Pyjama party

Pyjamacore is here. Blurring the line between sleepwear and daywear, designers have made a case for taking pyjama styles out of the bedroom and onto the streets this season. Think loungewear, that’s loose, lightweight and unstructured but elevated in style and texture such as silks and satins. Having found favour with Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Saint Laurent, Wales Bonner and Emporio Armani, stripey sets, luxuriously silky coords and relaxed shirts and bottoms dominated the runways, creating looks that are effortless but polished. Follow the labels’ leads and embrace pyjamacore this warm-weather season.

Check mate

You can’t go wrong with a classic check print – and they're back in a big way for SS26. Adorning jackets, shirts and suits, this timeless and traditional pattern was seen on the runways from designers such as Ferragamo, Prada and Acne Studios, finished with a contemporary edge (of course). Whether plaids, tartans or herringbone patterns, bold or simplistic, lean into the trend for both everyday style and occasionwear dressing.

Preppy athleticism

Last summer saw a Nineties/Noughties-inspired sporty trend dominate the runways, and this year it returns with an extra preppy flair. The look? A sophisticated collegiate look that is chic and athletic. Designers such as Amiri, Emporio Armani and Dior presented this trend with a roster of rugby shirts, polo knits and sweater vests, mixing sporty style with retro flair.

Neck accessories

It was all about neck ties last summer, and SS26 proves the accessory trend is far from over. Be it a scarf, neckerchief or indeed a tie, designers such as Ferragamo, Ami Paris and Acne Studios showed the powerful effect of what adding a simple classic accessory can do for an outfit. Whether paired with tailoring or casual wear, loosely tied or wrapped around as a bandana, the key is effortless styling for a modern, uncomplicated look.

Short shorts

Short shorts gained huge traction in 2025, and the SS26 runways also proved that this is not slowing down. Louis Vuitton, Prada and Dries Van Noten shortened their hemlines, from tailored iterations to more relaxed, athletic styles. Paul Mescal and Harry Styles have famously embraced the teeny-tiny aesthetic – so get your pins out all in the name of fashion this summer.

Flip flops

One footwear choice that kept stepping out at the SS26 shows was flip-flops. Hardly groundbreaking for the warmer weather, but perhaps not what you’d imagine to see from the big-hitting designers. Prada, Louis Vuitton and Zegna strutted the simple, relaxed style down the runways, proving that the minimalistic, streamlined style can be surprisingly refined, and not just reserved for the beach. Style with linen trousers, relaxed tailoring or casual co-ords for a laidback but chic look which adds buckets of nonchalant attitude.
