The Outnet, the luxury past-season retail platform owned by Yoox Net-A-Porter, has announced the launch of its first core menswear offering. The expanded edit will run alongside the site’s existing womenswear category and will be available in Europe and Asia from 28 March 2022, with the US to follow in the summer.

Launching in 2009 as a sister site to Net-A-Porter, The Outnet immediately found its niche as a form of permanent online sample sale, offering past-season pieces from brands including Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens, Simone Rocha and Versace at up to 70 per cent discount.

The new menswear offering follows a successful soft launch in November 2021 which was targeted at the site’s existing customers. The full rollout will be available to all customers and accessed via a dedicated menswear homepage, with local language versions available in Japan, Germany and the Middle East.

So what’s on offer? As with The Outnet’s womenswear offering, the brands featured run the gamut from masstige to high-end runway labels. Existing favourites, including Sandro, Dolce & Gabbana, Acne Studios and Marni are all present, alongside a roster of new menswear-specific brands, such as Canali, Dunhill and Officine Generale.

“Over the past 10 years, The Outnet has continued to offer a fantastic selection of luxury past-season womenswear brands, and launching menswear is an exciting natural evolution and opportunity to grow and develop our assortment,” said Emma Mortimer, managing director of The Outnet.

“A successful soft launch in November 2021 has shown there is a strong appetite for this new category onsite. We are extremely excited to roll out the full experience this year and see the response, as we continue to introduce new brands and customers to our unique offering.”

Credit cards at the ready, gents. Here are a few of our favourites from the new edit to get you started…
