Jacob Elordi is the new face of Bleu De Chanel

The Australian actor is everywhere – and is now the ambassador for Chanel’s bestselling male fragrance

It’s been a busy 12 months for Jacob Elordi. With high-profile roles in last year’s Frankenstein – for which he received an Oscar nomination – and box office hit, Wuthering Heights, in February, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve seen his face everywhere recently. Today, that term has just got even more literal as the Australian actor has been announced as the new ambassador for Bleu De Chanel.

As one of Chanel’s most iconic male fragrances, it is big news in the world of beauty as Elordi is only the third man in history to be the face of it. A position previously held by Marty Supreme actor Timothée Chalamet and French actor Gaspard Ulliel – who filled the post for 12 years from 2010 – Chanel has stated that Elordi is “more than a new face for Bleu De Chanel” and “has established himself as one of the most compelling actors of his generation”.

He first broke through in Euphoria, where he played Nate Jacobs, a complex and unsettling character that brought him international attention. What followed were roles in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn (2023) and Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, where he played Elvis Presley. Joining forces with his Wuthering Heights co-star, Margot Robbie, Elordi got his first taste of Chanel fragrances in 2024 when he starred in the romantic film by Luca Guadagnino, See You at 5, which was created for the global campaign of the iconic Chanel N°5 fragrance.

Talking about his new ambassadorship, Elordi says: “Bleu De Chanel has strong ties to cinema. The filmmakers and actors who have collaborated with the House before me are people I deeply respect and admire. Being able to become part of this story is an honour.”

“I have been following Jacob Elordi’s career for several years, since Euphoria. I first met him on the set of the See You at 5 film for N°5, in which he stars alongside Margot Robbie, and it was a revelation,” says Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, head of Chanel’s Global Creative Resources, Fragrance & Beauty. “He perfectly embodies Bleu De Chanel: expressing freedom, mystery, magnetism, and a masculinity that blends modernity with a certain classic elegance.”
