Sink into a bed of clouds by Anya Hindmarch, with special guests including Poppy Delevingne and Claudia Winkleman
Anya Hindmarch is creating an immersive installation for London Fashion Week, which places the world's largest beanbag within Whitehall's historic Banqueting House. From 14-16 September, visitors are invited to sink into the large-scale installation, inspired by the cloud motif that features in the British designer's new Autumn/Winter 2018 collection. The event follows Hindmarch's wildly successful Chubby Heart campaign, which took place during February in place of a fashion show.
Banqueting House also lays claim to the only in-situ Rubens painted ceiling in the world, allowing guests to look up at the Flemish artist's vivid work. Alongside the installation, there will be an eclectic programme of talks, music and meditation sessions, including bedtime stories read by Poppy Delevingne and Claudia Winkleman; a guide to sleep by Professor Russell Foster and a talk between Anya Hindmarch and Lisa Armstrong.
The new collection of cloud-emblazoned clothing and accessories will be available to buy in the on-site pop-up shop, alongside limited-edition cloud eye masks, cushions and marshmallows. Guests can also visit the Chubby Cloud pop-up café for cloud-inspired confectionary.
Ticket proceeds for the event will support Historic Royal Palaces, the independent charity that looks after Banqueting House.
