There are plenty of brands out there offering the full works for your Alpine adventure, from jackets and salopettes to goggles and gloves, seeing you through both speedy skiing slaloms and slopeside socialising in style. Read on for our favourite ski wear brands – and the must-buys from each collection.

66° North

66°North was founded by Hans Kristjánsson in 1926 after he spotted a need for warm and durable clothing for Icelandic fishermen and workers braving the North Atlantic elements. Today, the brand’s philosophy stays true to its humble beginnings – weather shouldn’t be an obstacle to any activity. 66°North provides high-quality, comfortable outerwear, made to last and ideal for outdoor adventures on the slopes.

Its Gore-Tex Pro technical shell jackets will protect you in the coldest of climates and see you through white outs with no problem thanks to their waterproof construction. Layer on top of the brand’s Básar merino wool zip neck baselayer for a cosy outfit which still allows enough breathability and flexibility to show off your moves.

Designed for the slopes, Moncler Grenoble focuses on both performance and style.

Why not make a statement at the top of a mountain in its bright yellow padded ski suit? The vibrant design has thick insulation to keep you warm and will certainly get heads turning. Pair with the Chanavey hooded jacket and mirrored goggles for the ultimate ski-chic look.

Cordova

Who said you couldn’t bring glamour to the slopes? Cordova’s ski wear collection champions exactly that. Set up by husband and wife team Jane and Cody Seim, the brand hit the ground running in the winter of 2016/17 after an idea came to the Seims on the slopes of Sun Valley, Idaho: why not create a brand with a more tailored and imaginative approach to ski attire?

There’s no sacrificing style with these pieces. Take the Sommet hooded ski suit – designed to look like separates, but offering the ease of an all-in-one for a slick, flattering fit with features including thumb holes and pockets for practicality, and thick insulation for guaranteed warmth. Pop on over Cordova's ribbed thermal leggings to last out until dusk.

The Dutch label focuses on classic silhouettes for super-flattering fits designed to boost women’s confidence on the slopes and take alpine chic to the next level.

The range of one-piece ski suits promises effortlessly cool attire – look to the Parry, with its flared legs and a faux fur-trimmed hood, for your go-to off-piste look. Fusalp

On the snow scene since 1952, Fusalp was founded by tailors and ski enthusiasts Georges Ribola and René Veyrat in the Haute-Savoie region of France. The pair aimed to craft specialised ski wear and quickly made quite the impression by teaming up with the French Ski Federation to design kit for the national downhill skiing team. Since 2021, Fusalp has also been the official supplier of GB Snowsport, outfitting the British alpine and para-alpine ski teams.

With practicality and style at its heart, Fusalp’s ski wear is definitely worth a consideration before gallivanting off on your next mountain escape. Its padded Barsy ski jacket is fully-lined to keep the cold out, while the velvet trim and slouchy hood will maintain your slopeside style all day long. And nothing says pro skier like a head-to-toe onesie; the Kira ski suit has you covered in all things technical and chic.

Perfect Moment

It all started in the mountains of Chamonix in 1984 when Thierry Donard, an extreme sports filmmaker and professional skier, wanted people to experience ‘The Perfect Moment’ on the slopes. This meant high-quality apparel for optimum performance without compromising on aesthetics. The brand hit the ground running, was taken over by British-Swiss couple Jane and Max Gottschalk in 2010, and continues to deliver functional ski wear with a nod to its retro roots, boasting bold prints and colours with its fashion-led designs.

A black and white combo will never go out of fashion and the Maya jacket is a timeless piece to wear year after year on and around the slopes. Add some mirrored ski goggles for an iconic ‘80s-inspired look.

Bogner

Just four years after it was established by Nordic skiing champion Willy Bogner and his wife Maira, sportswear brand Bogner outfitted the German ski team for the 1936 Winter Olympics. This was a huge feat for the Bogners and their brand accordingly took off, with celebrities including Marilyn Monroe and Liz Taylor spotted in its ski wear. In 2020 Taylor Swift was seen fashioning its famous ski catsuit – and if it’s good enough for the stars, it’s good enough for us.

Must-haves include the Maren salopettes in a funky animal print. Their practical stretch-shell construction allows for plenty of movement when picking up speed but also adds a little bit of cheeky fun. And, of course, no mountainside outfit is complete without a pair of chunky snow boots. Bogner’s Chamonix boots are ideal for wandering the resort post-skiing and have rubberised soles to guarantee no unfortunate slips.
