The must-see looks from the BAFTAs 2026 red carpet

22 Feb 2026 | Updated on: 15 Mar 2026 |By Annie Lewis

Welcome to the biggest night in British film

Celebrating the very best in British film and television, the BAFTAs returns tonight for its annual star-studded event. Marking its 79th ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall within London’s Southbank Centre, the biggest actors, producers and directors, as well as national and international stars, have been flocking to the capital for the next instalment of 2026’s award season

It’s set to be a monumental night. With the Oscars just three weeks away, all eyes will be on the BAFTAs as it acts as yet another precursor in the race, given the Academy’s large British voting bloc. So, what do you need to know? This year, Scottish actor and lauded Cabaret star Alan Cumming has taken over the hosting reins from David Tennant, while films such as Hamnet, One Battle After Another, Sinners and Marty Supreme are dominating the categories.

Elsewhere, Jessie Buckley took home Best Actress and, with One Battle After Another having already swept the floor at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice, there was plenty more action from that film too. Miles Caton was slated to take home the Rising Star award but Robert Aramayo took the gong, as well as Best Actor, for his incredible performance in I Swear.

But while the awards are talking points, so, of course, are the outfits. Stay tuned for our live coverage of the BAFTAs 2026 red carpet as it unfolds.

English actor Robert Aramayo looked dazzling in Dior for the BAFTA red carpet. It proved to be a big night for the I Swear actor, who took home both the Best Actor and Rising Star awards.

American actress Chase Infiniti is enjoying a whirlwind awards season thanks to her breakout role in One Battle After Another alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. She was nominated for nominated in two categories – EE Rising Star and Best Leading Actress – and certainly looked the picture of a Hollywood star. We love the burgundy structured gown paired with jaw-dropping diamonds by De Beers.

Leonardo DiCaprio in Dior

Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio has been nominated for the BAFTA’s Best Actor six times in his career – and won the coveted award in 2016 for his role in The Revenant. He’s set to do it again thanks to his storming performance in the already decorated film, One Battle After Another. He looked cool, calm and collected on the red carpet in a Dior black wool and silk notch collar tuxedo.

Kate Hudson in Prada

Kate Hudson has been a firm fixture at London’s pre-BAFTA parties this weekend but seems to have saved her best dress for the real thing. Looking the epitome of a Hollywood star, she sported a gorgeous off-the-shoulder red satin Prada dress with Chaumet jewellery. Hudson is in the running for Best Actress for her role in Song Sung Blue.

Stormzy in Gucci

British rapper Stormzy has arrived at the red carpet in a suave but simple suit by Gucci and jewellery by Tiffany & Co. He is attending as one of the official presenters, and will be joined by the likes of Little Simz later in the evening.

Princess of Wales in Gucci

After a hiatus last year, the Prince and Princess of Wales have returned to the BAFTAs red carpet tonight. The Princess rewore a pink two-tone Gucci dress first spotted in 2019, while Prince William – who has been President of BAFTA since 2010 – matched in a red velvet suit.

Jessie Buckley in Chanel

Hamnet‘s leading lady brought a welcome splash of colour to the largely monochrome red carpet tonight. The Irish actress chose a royal blue velvet, Grecian-style gown by Chanel for what could be her third win during awards season.

Timothée Chalamet in Givenchy

Timothée Chalamet is having a very good awards season, having already scooped Best Actor at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice for his leading role in Marty Supreme. He is hotly-tipped to take home Best Actor tonight – but can he pull it off again? Dressed head to toe in custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton, he seems uber-relaxed going into his next ceremony.

Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton

Emma Stone is leading the stars on the BAFTAs red carpet in a daring black Louis Vuitton gown. The Bugonia star has won two BAFTAs in the past so all eyes are on the actress to see if she can take home Best Actress again.

Patrick Dempsey in Brunello Cucinelli

Patrick Dempsey is suited and booted for his role of presenting the Best Supporting Actress award this evening. Sporting a Brunello Cucinelli black one-and-a-half-breasted tuxedo with shawl lapels and a TAG Heuer timepiece, he’s every inch a well-dressed gent. Not quite sure the sunglasses are necessary in London weather, though…

Teyana Taylor in Burberry

Teyana Taylor has certainly dressed for London’s chilly temperatures in a custom Burberry silk corseted trench dress and gloves in a gorgeous plum hue, paired with jewels by Tiffany & Co. She is predicted to take home Best Supporting Actress for her role in One Battle After Another. We love dressing for the weather, but is it wrong for us to say maybe this is too much fabric?

Jack O’Connell in Dunhill

Jack O’Connell is joining fellow Sinners castmates at the BAFTAs tonight. For the occasion, he is wearing Dunhill’s Bourdon double breasted frock coat with a chocolate brown bow tie and black leather evening loafers. Smart and sophisticated.P

Aimee Lou Wood in Emilia Wickstead

The White Lotus and Sex Education star is pretty in pink for her fourth BAFTAs. Having scooped the gong for Best Female Comedy Performance in 2021 for her role in Netflix’s Sex Education, she returns tonight as a co-host. She chose to wear an Emilia Wickstead Pre Fall26 Kiana Gown paired with Tiffany & Co. jewels, complemented by a contrasting red lip.C

Miles Caton in Louis Vuitton

Miles Caton is up for the Rising Star award for his role in Sinners. The 20-year-old American actor has gained recognition for his role as Sammie in Ryan Coogler’s aforementioned horror film and is wearing a Louis Vuitton single-breasted grey striped suit and Tambour watch for the event.

Joe Alwyn in Valentino

The British actor was looking seriously dapper in a bright white Valentino suit, complemented by a Chaumet foliage brooch and ring. Alwyn is in attendance for his role in Hamnet, alongside Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal and director Chloé Zhao.

Gillian Anderson in Roksanda

Rocking the red carpet in Roksanda’s SS26 collection and Desert diamond Ara Vartanian jewellery, Gillian Anderson is presenting the Best Supporting Actor at the BAFTAs this evening.h

Erin Doherty in Louis Vuitton

The English actress has continued her penchant for Louis Vuitton tonight with an avant-garde gown for the BAFTAs red carpet. Featuring a deep v-neck and a structured, statement skirt (not quite sure how she will manage to sit down in that one), Doherty let her Chaumet jewels do the talking. The Adolescence star has already won at the Golden Globes and Emmys, but is here tonight as a presenter.

Stellan Skarsgård in Burberry

Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård opted for a timeless Burberry look for the red carpet. He is tipped to take home Best Supporting Actor category for his role in Norwegian film Sentimental Value, which has already won six awards this season.

Paul Mescal in Dior

Paul Mescal may have been wearing Dior and Cartier, but his biggest talking point of the night is that he made it ‘red carpet official’ with his girlfriend and American singer, Gracie Abrams. The Hamnet star was nominated for Best Actor.

Cillian Murphy in Ferragamo

Irish actor Cillian Murphy walked the red carpet in a Ferragamo black double-breasted peak lapel suit and is returning to the BAFTAs as a presenter. He knows how to nail understated, stylish attire.
