Since its beginning, the Northampton-based cordwainer has handcrafted high-quality Goodyear-welted footwear like no other, with collections of Oxfords, Derbys, velvet slippers and sturdy boots to see you through every occasion, from smart soirées to winter walks. Made from a selection of fine-cut leathers and designed with every intricate detail in mind, its trusty shoes are long-lasting, slick and smart and steeped in the brand’s heritage. The Leather Goods collection is no different.
A curated selection of accessories, including billfold wallets, cardholders and folding card cases, the new collection is the perfect accompaniment to Crockett & Jones’ distinguished footwear. These sophisticated and rather handy pieces are made from fine leather skins sourced from some of the best tanneries across the globe, which are already showcased in Crockett & Jones’ men’s main collection and Hand Grain collection. These include Willow Grain (elegant in a linear print), Smooth Calf (simple and soft), Hurricane Hide (durable), Rough-Out Suede (rugged and tough), Cordovan (hand polished for a chicsheen) and Genuine Crocodile (textured and specially dyed).
Each piece is cut in house, expertly stitched in the UK and fully-lined in British racing green calf, before being embossed with the Crockett & Jones logo. So which piece to buy first? The brand’s take on the staple billfold wallet is a sleek and practical design featuring credit card slots, a note compartment and a pocket for coins; ideal for popping in your suit jacket or trouser pocket to carry the essentials when about town. Then there’s a small and compact cardholder, with two credit card slots and an open pocket for sliding in notes and business cards, and a folded card case for those business critical networking moments.
