One of three cocktails created to celebrate the Hotel Bel-Air's 75th anniversary, this bright, fresh cocktail is inspired by Alphonzo Bell – the entrepreneur who bought 600 acres of West Hollywood land and called it Bel-Air. Currently being served in the hotel's bar and lounge, allow yourself to experiment with unusual ice cubes when mixing at home.

Ingredients

2oz rum
2 dashes bitters
½oz simple syrup
2oz fresh pressed Granny Smith apple juice
Swan ice cube
Orange twist garnish

Method

  1. Add all ingredients (except ice cube and garnish) to a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass over ice.
  4. Garnish with orange twist.
