The release of Christopher Nolan’s epic film adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey threw Greece back into the spotlight this summer. Having cast Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, and Zendaya to act out this legendary tale, Nolan and his crews travelled to Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Iceland, Western Sahara, and Malta to find real backdrops for the film. One of these was southen Greece’s Peloponnese – famous for its rugged peninsula – which set the stage for Odysseus’ battle a giant Cyclops. Fancy living in this mystical land in the present day?
