Just a one-minute walk from Tower Hill underground station, and within easy reach of Fenchurch Street and Aldgate stations, Trinity House offers both accessibility and exclusivity. Positioned behind distinctive iron railings and approached via a long cobbled forecourt, the Georgian gem is a secure and charming escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, ideal for serene and private celebrations. From the moment couples and guests arrive, the sense of occasion begins. 

Beyond its grand exterior and iconic views of Tower Hill, interiors at Trinity House are refined, sophisticated and nod to its historic maritime heritage. An opulent reception hall greets visitors, leading to the venue’s beautiful twin curved staircase, fit for a memorable entrance and promising a fantastic photo opportunity during welcome drinks.

Elsewhere, grand soaring ceilings are framed by large windows that let natural light pour in, while a remarkable collection of maritime treasures, artefacts and paintings are dotted around the venue. Polished mahogany tables and gold-crested red leather chairs are included in venue hire to complete the majestic aesthetic. The standout, however, might just be the ceremonial sword, which is offered complimentary for cutting your wedding cake or sabering champagne in dramatic style. Or perhaps ringing the brass bell from the Royal Yacht Britannia, which was gifted to the Queen by Trinity House on Trafalgar Day in 1953 and given back to the house when the ship was retired.

The Library is the largest event space at Trinity House, with capacity for up to 130 seated guests or 180 standing. Set in an impressive oval-shaped room with direct views over the Tower of London, it offers a beautifully spacious venue for couples and their loved ones to host magical celebrations. Two magnificent crystal chandeliers suspend from the ceiling while three historic stained glass windows dapple the room with a gorgeous rainbow of light. Large glass cabinets displaying maritime silverware and a collection of valuable dress silver decorate the room and add to the historic charm.

The Court Room, meanwhile, is available to hire for more intimate gatherings, with a capacity for 60 seated and 130 standing. By no means less impressive, guests are welcomed by decorative high ceilings with trompe l’oeil artwork, a distinguished collection of royal portraits, a working fireplace and three tall sash windows looking out to Trinity Square Gardens beneath. Other sweeping views of the Tower of London and the Shard give the space a truly London feel. The Court Room is also home to a large single-loom carpet featuring the original arms of Trinity House, granted by Royal Charter of Queen Elizabeth I in 1573. It is one of the largest single-loom carpets in the UK (the largest being at Windsor Castle). 

Whichever you choose, weddings at Trinity House are second to none. New for 2026, Trinity House has launched a three-hour civil wedding ceremony offer, available every day of the week on a dry hire-only basis. The package includes exclusive use of the venue, ensuring complete privacy for your special day, with access to the space for up to three hours. Although catering is not included, the offer includes glassware and two waiters at no additional cost, plus no corkage fee for couples wishing to provide their own drinks.
