Everything the Luxury London team has been loving this month

31 Jul 2025 | |By Luxury London

We’ve been out and about this month – and we’re not ones to gatekeep. Here’s where Team LL has been shopping, staying, eating and more

All products are chosen independently by our editors. Luxury London may earn commission on items purchased.

It’s no secret that working for a magazine comes with certain benefits and responsibilities – and one the Luxury London team takes extremely seriously is recommendations. So much so, that we’ve launched this new monthly series designed to take you into our world and share everything we’ve been loving this month, from the fashion and beauty must-haves we’ve been buying, the fabulous hotels we’ve been visiting and all of London’s must-dos, from dining at summer terraces to sundowners on city rooftops. After all, there’s nothing chicer than being in the know. Here’s what Team LL has been loving in July 2025.

Zoe Gunn, Digital Editorial Director

The throwback: French Connection 1996 Stripe jumper

The most coveted brand of your teenage years is back with a fresh spirit, a playful new attitude – and a re-edition of an archival 1996 jumper once worn on stage by Noel Gallagher. Yes, it may be timed to coincide with the band’s reunion tour but, in true Manc style, I’ll be wearing mine until the long-promised heatwave returns.

The European bolthole: Corinthia Brussels

Always overlooked Brussels in favour of its, ostensibly, more glamorous European cousins? A hop, skip and two-hour train ride on the Eurostar (upgrade to Premier: trust me, it’s worth it), the regal new Corinthia Brussels is reason enough to book a weekend away (read my full review here). Think Claridge’s but with a touch more European flair. C’est tres bon.

The beauty: Rehab. Retreat Body Exfoliation Bundle

By this point in the summer, the combined effects of air conditioning, sunshine and the occasional downpour tend to leave my skin seriously parched. And, while I’ll never turn my back on the humble cure-all that is E45, Rehab’s hydrating body products have been a saviour this year. Plus, they look pretty great in my bathroom, too.

The after-work drinks: Joia Rooftop

For al fresco wining and dining, Joia Rooftop in Battersea is currently my favourite haunt for sundowners. Go for slushy margs and top-notch Portuguese bites, stay for the incredible views and vibes.

The supplement: WelleCo The Evening Elixir

Life is all about balance – so I’ve also been working on my sleep this month. As someone who finds it a tricky to unwind before hitting the hay, I’ve been adding WelleCo’s The Evening Elixir to my nighttime routine (packed with magnesium and vitamins and disguised as a low-calorie, grown-up hot chocolate – what’s not to like?). It hasn’t been long enough for the grand transformation yet but I am noticing I’m nodding off quicker and feeling more refreshed come morning.

The clothing: Oner Active and Russell & Bromley

I’ve also been loving Oner Active’s activewear. Designed by women for women, its styles are practical, flattering and cool with no detail left unconsidered. The Unified high-waisted shorts have been a life saver during the warm weather, both in and out of the gym. When I’m not moving and shaking in my sports kit, however, you’ll find me in Russell & Bromley’s chic Brook cork mules, feeling like a 1970's disco diva.

The fragrance: Phlur Mrs. Smith Hair and Body Mist

Summer, for me, smells like Phlur’s Mrs. Smith – fresh apple, a bit of citrus, and that clean-but-sexy thing I can never quite describe but always chase. It doesn’t last for ages (classic with mists) but I don’t mind reapplying. It’s part of my out-the-door ritual now, and I low-key love catching a whiff of it on my clothes hours later.

The hair product: K18 AstroLift spray

I’ve been in love with K18’s AstroLift spray lately – it’s honestly changed the game for my fine hair. It gives proper volume without that sticky, crunchy feeling most thickening sprays leave behind. My hair feels fuller and smoother, which I didn’t think was possible. I use it on damp hair before blow-drying and it gives that bouncy, healthy look I usually have to fake with rollers and a prayer.

kahani

The restaurant: Kahani

When it comes to dinner plans, I’ve basically moved into Kahani near Sloane Square. It’s fine dining Indian – think tandoori broccoli I actively crave, the dreamiest slow-cooked lamb shank, and soft lighting that makes you feel 10/10 even after a sweaty tube ride. It’s got that hidden gem feel, but I’m not gatekeeping. Go.

The cookware: Our Place

Kitchenware doesn’t get more aesthetically pleasing – or toxic-free – than Our Place. Offering an array of uber-modern, colourful pots and pans, this month marked the launch of the LA-based brand’s new and highly Instagrammable shopping space in Selfridges. After seeing this brand on my feed for years, I finally got my hands on some Our Place pots in the gorgeous Spice colourway, which has not only revolutionised my cooking, but also my kitchen cabinet. Eating in has never looked so good.

The jeans: Mother

It can't just be me that finds it impossible to find the perfect pair of jeans. Constantly stuck between the leg being too short or too long, and the denim being so soft that it doesn’t hold its shape or so rigid that it's uncomfortable, the onerous task of buying jeans is a tale as old as time. One pair that has finally ticked all the boxes for me is Mother’s Rambler jeans: a deep blue, high-waisted, ankle-cut silhouette perfect for everyday wear. I also love that the website offers a guide to where each style sits on the stretch level – genius.

Battuta

The summer terrace: Battuta at Four Seasons Hotel at Park Lane

‘Tis the season for summer terraces – and they don’t get much better than Battuta. With an offering that extends way beyond the obligatory rosé and seafood platters, this imaginative pop-up was inspired by 14th-century explorer Ibn Battuta and is Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno’s take on Middle Eastern, Asian and North African flavours. Tucked away on a leafy terrace adjacent to Pavyllon at the Four Seasons Park Lane, the prawn toast is to die for, as is the chicken shawarma bao. It’s only open until the end of September, so run, don’t walk – seriously.
