Harvey Nichols

The days are shortening, the nights are drawing in and, before we know it, the Christmas lights will be going up across the capital. While many will lament the end of summer’s sunny climes, in London a new season simply means a whole host of new entertainment options – and, this autumn, those in the know are setting course for Harvey Nichols.

Far more than simply a world-class destination for some of the finest international luxury brands, the Knightsbridge department store has become a go-to for those looking for the perfect place to organise a memorable get-together with family and friends. And this season it’s got a whole host of new attractions on offer.

The CÎROC Passion Jungle Terrace

The end of summer does not mean the end of the al fresco terrace. With the help of a few carefully placed heaters (and a retractable roof), Harvey Nichols has transformed its Fifth Floor terrace into a tropical paradise that will be serving up a special menu of CÎROC Passion cocktails until the end of October.

Highlights include the Passion Spritz (CÎROC Passion, rhubarb, Prosecco and soda) and the Passion Juice (CÎROC Passion, blood orange soda and orange blossom water) – all of which are beautifully presented to complement their Insta-worthy surroundings. Settle in and take day to night with a tempting all-day dining menu of Mediterranean small plates, burgers, salads and afternoon tea.

Live music at the Fifth Floor Bar

Once the sun goes down head inside to the opulent Fifth Floor Bar which, from 29 September, will be hosting live music and DJs, accompanied by some seriously exquisite drinks. Every month the bar welcomes a new limited edition cocktail and, for September, it’s the turn of the Late Summer Spritz: a fresh and aromatic blend of Botanist Gin, mint and apple created in celebration of the UK’s traditional apple season.

There’s also an extensive menu of spirits, wines, champagnes and classic cocktails, all accompanied by a small but perfectly formed food offering featuring brasserie staples, including club sandwiches, mezze platters, oysters and bar snacks. Whether it’s a first date or a girls’ night out, look no further for an evening guaranteed to impress.
